JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) – IPC Terminal Petikemas/IPC TPK, a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, won an award at the 2024 Bisnis Indonesia Logistics Awards (BILA). This year, IPC TPK won two awards in the BUMN Subsidiary Category in the Container Shipping Sector and the Special Category: Operational Excellence in Container Terminal Operator . The award was received by the Director of Finance, HR & Risk Management of IPC TPK, Yanuar Evyanto at Graha CIMB Niaga, Jakarta.
In his speech, Yanuar said that the award received was the result of the operational transformation and service standardization steps carried out by IPC TPK in presenting efficient and sustainable container loading and unloading services. Bisnis Indonesia Logistics Awards (BILA) 2024 is an award event given by Bisnis Indonesia to industry players who have contributed to boosting the national logistics and transportation sector. Carrying the theme Reliable and Efficient, it is hoped that the BILA 2024 event can encourage and motivate national logistics industry players to be more reliable, efficient and competitive to improve the economy in the country.
The logistics sector is one of the pillars of the national economy. The Central Statistics Agency noted that until the third quarter of 2024, the transportation and warehousing business sector, which includes the logistics sector, experienced an annual growth of 8.64%, the second highest after other service business sectors. This portrait shows that the transportation and warehousing sector, including the logistics business, has made a major contribution to supporting the national economy and has been able to prove its role in equitable development in remote areas of Indonesia.
The 2024 BILA event was attended by the Secretary General of the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation Novie Riyanto, Chairperson of INSA Carmelita Hartoto, Chairperson of the Manufacturing Industry Division of the Indonesian Employers' Association (APINDO) Bobby Gafur, Chairperson of the Indonesian Logistics Association Mahendra Rianto, Secretary General of the DPP of the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI) and the ranks of Commissioners and Directors of the Bisnis Indonesia Group.
This year is the third year of IPC TPK's involvement in the Bisnis Indonesia Logistics Awards as an award event that focuses on logistics. In 2023, IPC TPK won the Container Terminal Operator of The Year award . Previously in 2022, IPC TPK won the Best Container Terminal Operator category award.
"This award is a motivation for us to continue to improve our services to service users. IPC TPK prioritizes planning and control -based operations and encourages digitalization of services, one of which is by implementing a single system in all IPC TPK terminal areas. This step was taken in order to support the focus of the Pelindo holding in reducing port stay time , thereby contributing to reducing national logistics costs," concluded Yanuar.
