
BOGOR (ISL News) – PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 through Pelindo Regional 2 Tanjung Priok is implementing a Social Responsibility (TJSL) program by providing assistance in the form of facilities and infrastructure for the Ruhama Islamic Boarding School.
Located in Tajur Halang, Bogor Regency, West Java, Thursday, October 3, 2024, the Kick Off of the Ruhama Eduwisata Pondok Program was carried out. This program aims to create a new educational-based tourist destination managed by the Ruhama Islamic boarding school as Pelindo's effort to support increased productivity and economic independence.
Also present at the Kick Off event that day were, among others, Senior Manager of Law and Public Relations of Pelindo Regional 2, Astrid Unggul Pawestri, Manager of Human Resources, General and KBL Services of Pelindo Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, Lukman Salamudin, Head of Ruhama Islamic Boarding School, Ustad Salman Abdul Hamid and General Manager of Operation Pilantra, Azlia Sofni.
Senior Manager of Law and Public Relations of Pelindo Regional 2, Astrid Unggul Pawestri, representing Executive Director 2 of Regional 2 Pelindo Drajat Sulistyo in her speech expressed her gratitude to the administrators and friends of the Ruhama Islamic Boarding School and Pilantra who have bridged the development of the Ruhama Islamic Boarding School through the Pondok Eduwisata program which supports the independence and productivity of fellow students so that they can be independent later, especially fellow students who graduate from the Ruhama Islamic Boarding School, it is hoped that they can transmit their entrepreneurial spirit to the community outside the Islamic Boarding School environment, so that they can support the economy.
Astrid Unggul Pawestri also added that all of this cannot be separated from the role of teachers and mentors at the Ruhama Islamic boarding school who have developed their businesses in the fields of agriculture and animal husbandry through the Pondok Eduwisata program, hopefully in the future we (Pelindo) can continue to participate and work together to advance the Ruhama Islamic boarding school.
In line with Astrid Unggul Pawestri, Manager of Human Resources, General and KBL Services of Pelindo Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, Lukman Salamudin said, for the Ruhama Eduwisata Pondok program, we will ask for assistance from Pilantra friends to periodically monitor its progress, hopefully this Eduwisata program will not only be beneficial for the Ruhama Islamic boarding school, but also for the students, where in addition to being a means of education, the Ruhama Islamic Boarding School can also be developed as a place for Agro Tourism. God willing, hopefully what we plan together can produce maximum results and have a good impact on future generations.
The Head of the Ruhama Islamic Boarding School, Ustad Salman Abdul Hamid, a graduate of Saulatiyah Mekkah Al Mukarromah, expressed his great pleasure and gratitude to Pelindo and Pilantra. Thanks to the assistance provided by Pelindo, we can develop this Islamic boarding school through the Ruhama Eduwisata Boarding School program, where the management involves all students (santri) of the Ruhama Islamic boarding school.
In addition to gaining religious knowledge, the students here are also invited to learn about joint business, and what is currently running is agricultural and livestock businesses, where in the agricultural sector it is in the form of planting durian, avocado, grapes and vegetables, while in the livestock sector we have a goat farm as a commodity for sacrificial animals and besides that we also sell goat milk that is ready to be consumed, Alhamdulillah, in the last 3 months, Pondok Eduwisata Ruhama has received 3 visits from outside parties who came to visit Ruhama to see firsthand the business that we run.
In his quote, Salman Abdul Hamid said, "Please monitor us so that what we are doing can run optimally, right on target, trustworthy and honest, so that it is hoped that through this program we can produce good generations, because Ruhama was founded specifically for our brothers and sisters who need help."
"Hopefully, with the efforts we are running now, we can help with the operational needs of the Ruhama Islamic Boarding School. Hopefully, the Ruhama Eduwisata program can become an extraordinary program," concluded Salman Abdul Hamid.
The activity was continued with the symbolic handover of aid and a joint review of the agricultural and livestock business locations managed by the Ruhama Islamic Boarding School.
