JAKARTA (ISL News) - IPC Container Terminal/IPC TPK Tanjung Priok 2 Area held a Socialization on Fumigation Activities in the IPC Container Terminal Area. This activity is IPC TPK's effort as a container terminal operator to explore further about fumigation activities and encourage the implementation of the National Corruption Prevention Strategy Program (Stranas PK) at Tanjung Priok Port.
"Since the end of 2023, IPC TPK Area Tanjung Priok 2 has provided fumigation services inside the terminal. "This is done to provide convenience for customers in managing behandles and fumigation in 1 TPS (Temporary Storage Place) area." said Guna Mulyana, Main Director of IPC TPK.
Fumigation efforts aim to meet the strict requirements set by the destination country, especially those related to plant and environmental health as well as maintaining product cleanliness and safety. Containers are often an ideal place for pests and insects to breed because of their high humidity conditions. Therefore, by applying fumigation regularly, the risk of losses due to pest attacks can be significantly reduced.
The socialization of fumigation activities was opened by the Head of DKI Jakarta Quarantine, Drh. Hari Yuwono Ady, M.Si and Tanjung Priok Area Manager 2 IPC TPK, Adi Saputra. The Quarantine Team acted as a resource person explaining the ins and outs of fumigation. This event was attended by the IPC TPK Tanjung Priok Area 2 team as well as all IPC TPK work partners involved in container loading and unloading activities.
"This activity is also IPC TPK's step in maintaining the quality and safety of agricultural commodities that will be imported and/or exported from and to various destination countries.
