JAKARTA (ISL News) - Coinciding with the momentum of Pancasila Sanctity Day and the celebration of the 5th Pelindo Day, PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) reaffirmed its commitment to occupational safety aspects through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program entitled "Fit to Drive".
Taking place at the Marunda Container Truck Garage, this activity targeted 150 container truck drivers who are members of KB-SI Perjuangan, with the main aim of encouraging a better driving safety culture, especially in the dense traffic areas of North Jakarta.
"We care about the safety of container truck drivers, especially in the Tanjung Priok area. We are organizing the TJSL Fit to Drive program. We not only provide free health checks, but we also provide glasses for truck drivers with visual impairments that could potentially pose a high risk," said IPC TPK's Director of Finance, HR & Risk Management, Yanuar Evyanto.
In its implementation, this program provided concrete and targeted medical facilities for one hundred and fifty logistics heroes from KB-SI Perjuangan. The series of activities included eye health examinations, which are crucial for road safety, general health checks, and comprehensive health consultation sessions with professional medical personnel. The implementation of this activity was also directly reviewed by the Head of the Tanjung Priok IPC TPK Terminal, Agustian Chandra, and his staff to ensure all drivers received optimal health care.
One of the drivers participating in the Fit to Drive program expressed his appreciation for the IPC TPK initiative. "I'm very pleased with the eye health checkup and glasses. This is very beneficial for me because I often work at night. The service provided by this program is also satisfactory," concluded Ismunandar after the health checkup.
"Hopefully, the implementation of Fit to Drive for drivers can provide benefits and improve safety, which will lead to smooth logistics at Tanjung Priok Port and boost the economy of residents, especially those around Tanjung Priok Port," Yanuar concluded in his remarks.
