SURABAYA (ISL News) - PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) together with stakeholders of Tanjung Perak port conducted a Joint Evaluation of Ship Services and Evaluation of the Implementation of the EAZI Zone (Express Anchorage Zone Service) on Thursday (1/10/2026).
This activity was attended by the Harbormaster's Office and the Tanjung Perak Main Port Authority (KSOP Utama Tg. Perak), the Tanjung Perak Class I Type A Navigation District, Regional 3 of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), and PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim.
This evaluation serves as a joint forum to monitor the progress of the implementation of the EAZI Zone while strengthening synergies in improving the speed, certainty, and quality of ship services at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong.
David Pandapotan Sirait, President Director of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, stated in his remarks that accelerating ship services is a shared responsibility of all port stakeholders. One effort being undertaken is the implementation of the EAZI Zone, which has begun to have a positive impact on reducing port stays, and its benefits are already being felt by service users.
"TTL, together with all stakeholders, continues to make various efforts to accelerate ship services through strong collaboration to provide faster, safer, more reliable, and more competitive services," said David Sirait.
At TPK Nilam, the implementation of the EAZI Zone from April 23 to August 31, 2026, recorded service for 176 vessels with an average STS time of 2 hours and 53 minutes. This implementation also increased the average number of vessels entering the dock from 14 to 17, or approximately 21.4 percent.
Meanwhile, at TPK Berlian, the EAZI Zone trial between August 4 and 31, 2026, recorded 16 vessels with an average STS time of 2 hours and 24 minutes. This achievement is part of the service's development towards the 2-hour STS standard and demonstrates the EAZI Zone's contribution to optimizing the vessel changeover process at the berths.
In the context of this evaluation, STS refers to ship-to-ship berth changeover or the time of changing ships at the same berth, which is calculated from the last line of the previous ship to the first line of the next ship.
Group Head of Ship Services at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), Santoso, said that collaboration between stakeholders is key to providing the best service to service users.
"Collaboration between stakeholders is essential to providing the best service to our customers. Continuous evaluation is crucial to ensure that every improvement truly enhances service quality and provides the best possible experience for TTL customers," Santoso explained.
TTL continues to promote the integration of mooring planning with the EAZI Zone, supported by real-time monitoring of mooring planning and implementation, as well as enhanced Berthing Management. This system enhancement is expected to further enhance service certainty, optimize mooring utilization, and support the operational efficiency of vessels operating at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong.
The Head of the Tanjung Perak Main KSOP Office, Agustinus Maun, expressed his appreciation for PT Terminal Teluk Lamong's initiative in holding a Joint Evaluation of Ship Services and Evaluation of the Implementation of the EAZI Zone as part of efforts to continuously improve the quality of ship services.
"Thank you to PT Terminal Teluk Lamong for organizing this evaluation. The implementation of EAZI has significantly improved ship services. Collaboration between all stakeholders is key to continuously providing better service to our customers," said Agustinus.
Through this joint evaluation, TTL and all stakeholders continue to strengthen synergies to build a ship service ecosystem that is increasingly integrated, efficient, and oriented to the needs of service users.
Strengthening collaboration in ship services in the Tanjung Perak area is also being driven by digital integration of ship services. TTL continues to develop BESTI (Berth Allocation Efficiency & Support Terminal Integration), an application that supports integrated ship mooring planning and management.
In the future, BESTI will be developed to connect with PHINISI, Inaportnet, and Zona EAZI so that the process of exchanging information, planning, and realizing ship services can take place in a more integrated and real-time manner.
This integration is expected to strengthen coordination between stakeholders, increase service certainty, and encourage faster, more efficient, and more integrated ship services at Tanjung Perak Port.
