JAKARTA (ISL News) - PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk (IDX: IPCM), a ship pilotage and towing service provider which is part of PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim and Pelindo Group, has once again demonstrated its operational capabilities through the successful provision of pilotage and towing services to the MSC BREMERHAVEN V, a Panamax container ship with a length of 295 meters Length Overall (LOA), which docked at Patimban Port (3/8/2026).
For this service, IPCM deployed four tugboats: KT Jayakarta 2, KT Teluk Jakarta 208, KT BVS 208, and KT Abimanyu V, to ensure the pilotage and towing process was carried out safely, reliably, and in accordance with shipping safety standards. This service reflects the readiness of the fleet and the competence of IPCM personnel in handling large container ships operating at strategic national ports.

The arrival of MSC BREMERHAVEN V marks a significant milestone in the development of Patimban Port, which continues to enhance its role as an international port. With the regular operation of international container services, the port is projected to serve weekly calls for container ships ranging in size from Handymax/Supramax (150–200 meters) to Panamax (over 250 meters) with a frequency of approximately 3–4 visits per month. The presence of this Panamax-sized container ship reflects the increasing international shipping activity and opens up opportunities for growth in marine services, particularly pilotage and towing services, which are IPCM's core competencies.
