SURABAYA (ISL News) - PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) received an audience from the East Java Regional Management Board of the Indonesian National Importers Association (BPD GINSI) on Tuesday (July 7). Through this audience, both parties committed to strengthening communication and collaboration to support improved service quality and the smooth flow of national logistics.
The event was attended by David Pandapotan Sirait, President Director of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong; Pierre Rochel T, Head of Terminal TPK Teluk Lamong; and senior company leaders. Also present were Hana Beladina Lutfifi, Chairperson of the East Java GINSI Regional Development Board; Warsidi, Secretary; and several members of GINSI East Java. The meeting took place in an open atmosphere, with the main agenda being to discuss terminal service developments, gather user feedback, and address various issues of concern to importers.
David Pandapotan Sirait expressed his appreciation for the visit by the East Java BPD GINSI. He stated that TTL will consistently build relationships with various associations and service users as part of the company's efforts to continuously improve service quality based on customer needs.
He explained that the company continues to implement various improvement measures by prioritizing customer experience. One such effort is the provision of a shelter waiting area for trucks to wait before loading containers onto ships. Furthermore, Teluk Lamong Terminal has implemented a Terminal Booking System (TBS), which entered its second phase in March 2026. This system aims to better schedule truck arrivals and reduce potential queues during peak hours.
"By prioritizing customer experience, to mitigate the truck queues that occur in the Teluk Lamong Terminal area, TTL is currently implementing the Terminal Booking System (TBS) which has entered its second phase, providing a shelter waiting area as a waiting area for trucks before loading containers onto ships," said David.
Meanwhile, Hana Beladina Lutfifi expressed her appreciation for PT Terminal Teluk Lamong's welcoming reception and its openness to feedback from service users. "Hopefully, this meeting will increase GINSI members' understanding of the developments and innovations that Terminal Teluk Lamong has made to date," Hana explained.
During the discussion session, GINSI members provided a number of inputs regarding terminal operational services. Topics covered included ship closing times, handling vehicle queues during peak hours, container tracing mechanisms, and ship arrival information.
Responding to the issue of truck queues, Teluk Lamong Terminal management explained that the implementation of the Terminal Booking System (TBS) has had a positive impact on regulating truck arrival patterns, thus controlling the queues, which were previously a concern, now. TTL also hopes for the support of all stakeholders, including the East Java BPD GINSI, to participate in outreach to its members regarding the TBS implementation so that the system's benefits can be optimally realized.
For other information services, TTL provides a portal accessible to service users through the Teluk Lamong Terminal Web Access at https://app.teluklamong.co.id/webaccess/. This platform allows service users to obtain information on container status, vessel schedules and arrivals, and various other operational data more quickly and transparently, facilitating logistics planning.
