JAKARTA (ISL News) - As a concrete manifestation of its commitment to environmental sustainability and the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments, PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) is holding a Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program in the form of Free Vehicle Emission Testing in the Tanjung Priok Port area.

The activity, which took place on July 6–7, 2026, targeted external container trucks with high mobility in the port area. This strategic step also served as part of the IPC TPK's 13th anniversary celebrations and the corporation's commitment to fully support Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) target No. 13 on climate change mitigation.

IPC TPK's Senior Manager of Corporate Secretariat, Daniel Setiawan, stated that this program represents a concrete step for the company in reducing air pollution in the port work environment. "Through this emissions test, we want to ensure that container trucks operating in the IPC TPK area meet the safe exhaust gas threshold standards set by the government. As we celebrate our 13th anniversary, IPC TPK is committed to not only focusing on the smooth flow of national logistics but also actively taking part in maintaining air quality for environmental sustainability," Daniel said.

To ensure effective quota absorption and ease of access for service users and the port ecosystem, the IPC TPK divided the testing implementation into three strategic locations at Tanjung Priok Port. These test locations are spread across Tanjung Priok Area 1 Zone 1, Tanjung Priok Area 1 Zone 3, and Tanjung Priok Area 2 International. These three locations were selected based on the high volume of container trucks passing through the terminal area daily.

In two days, IPC TPK successfully conducted emissions tests on 216 container trucks. The vehicle emissions test pass rate was 93%, or 201 container trucks passed.

"Going forward, IPC TPK will continue to present innovative TJSL programs that have a direct impact on preserving the earth for future generations," Daniel concluded.
