SURABAYA (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3 and the East Java High Prosecutor's Office officially signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on coordination in the implementation of duties and functions. This collaboration is a strategic step in strengthening corporate governance, increasing legal certainty, and optimizing the protection and recovery of state assets managed by Pelindo.
The cooperation agreement represents a continuation of the existing synergy between the two institutions, particularly in handling legal issues in the areas of Civil and State Administration through assistance from State Attorneys (JPN). In addition to extending the scope of the previous collaboration, this cooperation also strengthens the asset recovery aspect as a crucial part of safeguarding strategic state assets so they can be optimally utilized to support port services and national economic growth.
Pelindo 3 Executive Director, Daru Wicaksono Julianto , said that legal certainty is one of the main foundations in supporting the operational sustainability and business development of Pelindo.
"This collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment to building better, more transparent, and more accountable corporate governance. The support of the East Java High Prosecutor's Office provides legal certainty and serves as a risk mitigation measure, ensuring that all Pelindo business processes comply with applicable laws and regulations," Daru said.
So far, the synergy between Pelindo Regional 3 and the East Java High Prosecutor's Office has been realized through various legal assistance for strategic projects and the resolution of corporate legal issues. Some of these include assistance in the utilization of Management Rights (HPL) land at the Port of Gresik with PT PLN Nusantara Power, reinforcement work on the East Pier of the Berlian Short-Term Terminal, optimization of the road area into a Container Yard (CY) and Terminal Maintenance Facilities (TMF), termination of the Build Operate Transfer (BOT) cooperation with PT Gresik Jasatama, to providing legal opinions on the Audit Result Report (LHP) of the Republic of Indonesia Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) Representative Office of West Nusa Tenggara.
The Head of the East Java High Prosecutor's Office, Abdul Qohar Affandi , emphasized that the Prosecutor's Office, through its State Attorney function, will continue to support BUMN in carrying out its duties and functions professionally and in accordance with the legal corridor.
"The East Java High Prosecutor's Office is committed to providing professional assistance, legal advice, legal advice, and other legal actions to support the implementation of good corporate governance," concluded the East Java High Prosecutor.
Through the signing of this cooperation agreement, Pelindo Regional 3 and the East Java High Prosecutor's Office are optimistic that the collaboration that has been established will further strengthen coordination in facing increasingly complex legal challenges along with the development of the national port and logistics sector.
The synergy between the two institutions is expected to not only protect state interests but also serve as a foundation for creating a healthy business climate, reliable port services, and supporting national economic growth.
