PALEMBANG (ISL News) – As a form of commitment to supporting the realization of healthy, safe, and comfortable ports. Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang together with port stakeholders attended the Healthy Port Forum Coordination Meeting in the context of the Advanced Verification of the Healthy Port Assessment in 2026 which was carried out by the Healthy Port and Airport Verification Team (PBUS) of the Indonesian Ministry of Health together with the Palembang Class I Health Quarantine Center (BKK). This activity took place in the Musi Room of Pelindo Regional 2 Boom Baru Port Palembang.
This follow-up verification is part of the 2026 Healthy Port assessment series, which aims to ensure that port areas meet environmental health, sanitation, health risk control, and public health preparedness standards in accordance with national regulations.
Implementing the Healthy Port assessment requires cross-sector synergy because it encompasses various aspects of the port ecosystem, from environmental management and security to customs, immigration, quarantine, and public health services within the port area. Therefore, collaboration between all agencies and stakeholders is crucial in realizing ports that meet national health standards.
The event was opened by Iwan Sanjaya, Business Compliance Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, as the Chair of the Boom Baru Healthy Port Forum online. In his remarks, he said, "We would like to thank all agencies and stakeholders for attending today's Healthy Port follow-up verification activity. The Healthy Port Program is a manifestation of our shared commitment to creating a healthy, safe, and comfortable port environment for all service users. We hope this cross-sector collaboration can continue to be well-established to realize Boom Baru Port as a port that meets national health standards."
This activity was attended by representatives from various agencies, including the Class I Palembang Harbormaster and Port Authority Office (KSOP), the Palembang B Customs Middle Type KPPBC, the Palembang Immigration Office, the Class I Palembang Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Center (BKHIT), and the Class I Palembang Navigation District Office. Also invited were elements of the Indonesian Navy and the Boom Baru Port Area Sector Police, the ranks of the South Sumatra Provincial and Palembang City Health Offices, the Palembang BLKM, the Boombaru Community Health Center, and the Port Services Association, namely the DPC INSA Palembang, DPW ALFI / ILFA South Sumatra, DPW APBMI South Sumatra.
From within Pelindo Group Regional 2 Palembang, this activity was attended by the Business Compliance Manager and the Finance & HR Manager, representing the Acting General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang. Also present were the management of Pelindo's subsidiaries in the Boom Baru Port Environment, including PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim, PT IPC Terminal Petikemas, PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok, PT Jasa Armada Indonesia Tbk, PT Multi Terminal Indonesia, and PT BIMA.
The activity was closed by the Finance & HR Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, who said, "We appreciate the active participation of all parties in this series of Healthy Port verifications. The collaboration established today is a clear proof of the synergy between Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang and all agencies and work partners in supporting the port health program."
