JAKARTA (ISL News, April 24, 2026) — The Tanjung Priok Class I Sea and Coast Guard Base (PLP), Directorate General of Sea Transportation, Ministry of Transportation, affirmed its commitment to law enforcement at sea through the successful handling of the MT. HASIL GT.181 Tanker case which has been declared complete (P.21) by the Prosecutor's Office.

As a follow-up, on Friday (April 24, 2026) at 1:00 PM WIB, the Tanjung Priok Class I PLP Base conducted an evidence inspection at the Tanjung Priok Class I PLP Base Office. This activity is a crucial part of ensuring the evidence matches the case file documents before the transfer to the prosecution stage.

This success is the result of the KPLP sea patrol operation through the State Ship KN. Jembio – P.215 commanded by Capt. Luhut Marulitua Simanullang, who professionally carried out the inspection and action against the Tanker MT. HASIL GT.181 in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.

This step is concrete evidence of the state's presence in maintaining sovereignty, safety, and legal order in Indonesian waters.

Checking evidence is a crucial stage in the criminal justice system which aims to:

* Ensure conformity between evidence and case files

* Guarantee the validity and integrity of evidence

* Strengthen the quality of evidence before it is handed over to the Public Prosecutor

With the declaration of complete case files (P.21), all formal and material elements in the investigation process have been fulfilled, so that the case is ready to proceed to the next stage.

The evidence checking activity was carried out in an integrated manner by involving cross-agency elements, including: the PPNS Supervisory Coordinator of the Banten Regional Police's Criminal Investigation Directorate, the Banten High Prosecutor's Office, the Cilegon District Prosecutor's Office, Civil Servant Investigators (PPNS) of the KPLP and the Tanjung Priok Class I PLP Base Provost Team.

Furthermore, the success of this operation was also supported by solid coordination between the patrol elements of KN. Jembio – P.215 and the Coordinator of the PIC PPNS Investigators at the Tanjung Priok Class I PLP Base, Junaidi, SH, and his team.

This synergy is an implementation of the integrated criminal justice system, to ensure that every stage of case handling is carried out professionally, transparently, and accountably in accordance with statutory regulations.

In connection with the examination of evidence, the case handling process will continue to Phase II, namely the handover of the suspect and evidence to the Public Prosecutor, which is planned for:

Day/Date: Monday, April 27, 2026.

This stage is an important part in ensuring legal certainty and the continuity of the judicial process up to the prosecution and trial stages.

Head of the Class I Tanjung Priok PLP Base, Fourmansyah, SH, MM, MH, said:

> “The Tanjung Priok Class I Sea and Coast Guard Base as an element of the KPLP of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation is fully committed to enforcing the law in Indonesian waters in a professional, transparent, and accountable manner.”

> “Checking this evidence is an important part of ensuring the conformity between material facts and case files and guaranteeing the integrity of the law enforcement process.”

> "With the declaration of complete case files (P.21), we are ready to implement Phase II as a form of continuity of the law enforcement process up to the prosecution stage, in order to provide legal certainty and a deterrent effect against any violations in the shipping sector."

As an element of law enforcement at sea, the KPLP of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation continues to strengthen its strategic role in:

* Enforcing the law firmly, consistently, and with integrity

* Guaranteeing the safety and security of shipping
