JAKARTA (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas), part of the Pelindo Group and a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT), continues to strengthen its role as a multipurpose terminal operator in supporting the smooth flow of national logistics. This is demonstrated through various service developments, digital transformation, and improvements in operational performance across the company's operational areas.

As the first multipurpose terminal operator in Indonesia, PTP Nonpetikemas has experience handling a wide range of cargo types, from dry bulk to liquid bulk to general cargo. The company's operations currently span 11 ports across Indonesia, serving as crucial nodes in the national supply chain.

The commitment to digital transformation is demonstrated through the implementation of PTOS-M, an end-to-end process-based terminal service system that integrates planning, operations, and payment systems host-to-host with banking and customs systems. This innovation drives increased efficiency, transparency, and speed of service at the port.

Director of Commercial and Business Development and Acting Director of Operations of PTP Non-Container, Dwi Rahmat Toto, said that the company's transformation is part of its ongoing efforts to improve the competitiveness of port services.

"PTP Nonpetikemas continues to strive to provide more efficient, integrated, and adaptive services to customer needs. Digital transformation and operational strengthening are key to supporting a smooth national supply chain," said Toto.

First Quarter Performance

The operational performance of PTP Non-Container is showing a positive trend. In the first quarter of 2026, total non-container throughput, including general cargo, dry bulk, liquid bulk, and bag cargo, was recorded at 12.84 million tons, demonstrating maintained performance amidst the dynamics of national logistics flows.

Of the total throughput, dry bulk still dominates at 46%, followed by liquid bulk at 25%, general cargo at 24%, and bag cargo at 5%. This composition indicates that the dry bulk segment dominates the packaging services market.

As of the first quarter of 2026, liquid bulk shipments reached 3.09 million tons, representing a 16% increase compared to 2.67 million tons in the same period in 2025. This achievement also demonstrates strong performance, exceeding the 2026 target of 2.52 million tons by 23%. This increase was driven by CPO export activity in Teluk Bayur, continued loading and unloading in Pontianak, and increased commodity activity at Tanjung Priok.

Meanwhile, dry bulk, the operational backbone, recorded a realization of 5.76 million tons, which is an increase compared to the previous year and in line with the set target.

For other segments, general cargo was realized at 2.92 million tons and bag cargo was recorded at 656 thousand tons, or a slight decrease of 3.3% year-on-year.

For competitive T/S/D performance at the SPMT Group level. In the General Cargo segment, the Tanjung Priok Branch ranked first with a cumulative realization of 4,024 or approximately 130% of the target of 3,097, making it a major contributor in this line. The Banten and Tanjung Pandan Branches also recorded good performance with achievements of 1,752 and 1,627, respectively.

In the Liquid Bulk segment, the Teluk Bayur Branch ranked first with 5,287 shipments, exceeding the target of 4,912, or approximately 108%. Meanwhile, the Pontianak Kijing Branch ranked fourth with 3,550 shipments, or approximately 138% of the target.

In the Dry Bulk segment, the Bengkulu Branch showed outstanding performance with a realization of 6,902, exceeding the target of 4,050 or reaching around 170%, and ranked third at the group level.

Kijing Terminal

One strategic project under ongoing development is the Kijing Terminal in West Kalimantan. Since its inauguration in 2022, this port has transformed into an international logistics hub, supporting exports and imports as well as national strategic projects, including the downstreaming of the minerals sector.

In addition, PTP Nonpetikemas is also developing shorebase services in four strategic locations: Lhokseumawe, Tanjung Priok, Cirebon, and Banyuwangi. These services are intended to support the needs of the oil and gas industry with international-standard facilities that include material storage, chemical storage, and integrated logistics management.

In terms of operational innovation, the company introduced portable drop tank technology with a submersible pump, which can increase loading and unloading productivity while reducing operational costs and environmental impact. This technology enables more effective and efficient loading and unloading processes.

PTP Nonpetikemas also implements various Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, such as electrifying loading and unloading equipment, utilizing overhead cranes, and using LED lighting for energy efficiency. These efforts align with the company's commitment to creating more environmentally friendly and sustainable port operations.

Collaboration Space

Meanwhile, SM Corporate Secretary of PTP Nonpetikemas, Fiona Sari Utami, added that the company also continues to open up collaboration spaces with various stakeholders.

"As a port services business player, PTP Nonpetikemas not only focuses on operational performance, but is also committed to implementing TJSL programs that provide real benefits to the surrounding community. In addition, the company also continues to strengthen communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including the media, as part of transparency and strengthening the company's reputation," explained Fiona.

With various ongoing developments and innovations, PTP Nonpetikemas is optimistic that it can strengthen its role as a reliable logistics partner in supporting national economic growth and increasing Indonesia's competitiveness on the global stage.
