PADANG INDONESIA (ISL News, April 16, 2026) – PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP Nonpetikemas) Teluk Bayur Branch has once again strengthened its role as the main logistics gateway in West Sumatra through the loading service for palm oil derivative products at MT. Southern Anoa on Wednesday, April 15, 2026.
The visit of the export-bound ship to Port Qasim, Pakistan, is a testament to the ongoing commitment of PTP Non-container Teluk Bayur Branch in facilitating the flow of superior commodities such as palm oil derivative products in West Sumatra to support the improvement of the national economy and exports.
The ship with a length (LOA) of 146 meters and a weight of 11,863 GT was observed to be docked safely at the Special Bulk Dock (DKC) 1 Gaung, Teluk Bayur Port. The Liberian-flagged ship, captained by Capt. Diana Jigger, is planned to carry a total load of 18,000 tons of palm oil derivative products, consisting of 4,300 tons of RBDPO (Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized Palm Oil), 5,000 tons of ROL (Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized Olein), and 8,700 tons of RBDPS (Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized Palm Stearin).
The commitment of PTP Non-Container Teluk Bayur Branch is also reflected in the Company's performance record. In 2025, PTP Non-Container Teluk Bayur Branch recorded a throughput of 5.79 million tons despite the flash floods in West Sumatra at the end of 2025, which temporarily cut off land logistics routes from the hinterland.
In early 2026, PTP Non-container Teluk Bayur Branch recorded positive performance where until the first quarter of 2026, the throughput achievement had reached 1.51 million tons or 118.69% above the set target and when compared to the throughput achievement in the first quarter of 2025, it increased by 11.03% from the achievement of 1.36 million tons.
Branch Manager of PTP Non-container Teluk Bayur Branch, Fauzi, stated that the company continues to strive to provide maximum support for the distribution of goods, both for export needs in order to increase the country's foreign exchange and imports to maintain the availability of goods supplies domestically.
"PTP Nonpetikemas Teluk Bayur Branch is fully committed to supporting distribution to and from West Sumatra. Currently, our latest strategic step is focused on optimizing DKC 2 Gaung. This is in response to increased production volumes following the operation of PT Padang Raya Cakrawala's second refinery," said Fauzi.
With the optimization of infrastructure and excellent services, PTP Nonpetikemas Teluk Bayur Branch is optimistic that it can continue to be a strategic partner for industrial players in West Sumatra in accelerating the national logistics flow. Currently, port service services can be submitted by PTP Nonpetikemas service users online through the Integrated Billing System (IBS), so that with this digitalization, service submissions do not require face-to-face meetings. IBS is directly integrated with the Pelindo Terminal Operating System Multipurpose (PTOSM) so that service users can monitor the position of the service from the beginning to the end of the activity. In addition, PTP Nonpetikemas Teluk Bayur Branch has also supported the use of environmentally friendly technology by implementing the electrification of the main loading and unloading equipment in the form of three Gantry Jib Crane units.
