MAKASSAR (ISL News) - PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM), a subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) which operates in the fields of Marine, Equipment, Port Services, Docking and Shipyard held a Scientific Webinar to commemorate World Anti-Corruption Day (HAKORDIA).
This scientific webinar was conducted using the Zoom platform and featured several expert speakers in their fields, namely: Prof. Dr. Abdul Hamid Habbe, SE. M.Sc., Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Hasanuddin University, and Jeji Azizi from the Anti-Corruption Directorate of Business Entities, Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK RI). Also in attendance was the Group Head of Risk Management, Governance, and Compliance at Pelindo, Usman Saroni.
Tubagus Patrick, Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretary of SPJM, stated that the HAKORDIA commemoration through this scientific webinar serves as an important reminder for all company personnel to continue understanding corruption from various perspectives. It also serves as an effort to unite efforts in building an anti-corruption culture.
"Corruption is a common enemy that can only be eradicated through collective commitment and consistent implementation of the value of integrity. Through this scientific webinar, we hope that all SPJM personnel will not only understand the regulatory aspects but also internalize the values of honesty, responsibility, and transparency as part of their daily work culture," said Tubagus Patrick.
Furthermore, Tubagus Patrick emphasized that SPJM is committed to continuing to support the national agenda of eradicating corruption by strengthening the governance system, increasing anti-corruption literacy, and exemplary leadership at all levels of the organization.
This activity is a manifestation of the Company's ongoing commitment to strengthening a culture of integrity and supporting systemic corruption eradication efforts within the BUMN environment.
The webinar was opened by SPJM President Commissioner Otto Ardianto and attended by the SPJM Commissioners and Directors, all SPJM Group employees, including commissioners and directors of SPJM's subsidiaries and subsidiaries. Representatives from the SPJM Group's Pelindo Employees' Wives Association (PIP) were also present. This event also served as SPJM's support for HAKORDIA, which is celebrated every December 9th as a moment of reflection in combating corruption in Indonesia.
Through a scientific and multidisciplinary approach, this webinar aims to enhance participants' understanding of the roots, characteristics, and systemic impact of corruption. Furthermore, this activity is aimed at fostering awareness and moral commitment among all company personnel regarding the importance of integrity, transparency, and accountability in carrying out daily professional duties and responsibilities.
The first speaker, Usman Saroni, General Head of Risk Management and Governance at PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), delivered material on transparency, accountability, and the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) as an antidote to corruption. He emphasized that strong governance, supported by effective risk management, is the main foundation for creating a clean, integrated, and sustainably competitive company.
The second speaker, Prof. Dr. Hamid Habbe, SE., M.Si., Professor of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Hasanuddin University and a member of the SPJM Audit Committee, presented a scientific perspective on the paradigm for understanding the roots and impacts of corruption in Indonesia. In his presentation, Hamid emphasized that corruption is not only an individual issue but is also influenced by a systemic context that requires continuous improvement in governance and strengthening of ethical values.
Meanwhile, Jeji Azizi, Corruption Eradication Analyst at the Anti-Corruption Directorate of Business Entities at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), provided a comprehensive overview of fraud and bribery prevention in the corporate environment. The material presented emphasized the importance of all employees' active role in identifying, preventing, and reporting potential conflicts of interest and bribery practices as part of the company's internal control system.
By holding this Scientific Webinar in Commemoration of World Anti-Corruption Day (HAKORDIA) 2025, SPJM hopes to encourage the transformation of a clean and integrated work culture, while strengthening the role of companies in realizing transparent and accountable governance, and also supporting the increase in the value of anti-corruption perceptions nationally.
