JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) - Throughout 2024, PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas (PTP) Nonpetikemas continues to demonstrate its commitment to improving non-container terminal services through various transformations and innovations. The main focus of PTP Nonpetikemas includes liquid bulk, dry bulk, and general cargo services, which have succeeded in providing a positive impact on operational efficiency and supporting national strategic projects.
President Director of PTP Nonpetikemas, Indra Hidayat Sani revealed, PTP Nonpetikemas has implemented standardization, systemization, and integration in all ports based on six main pillars, namely process, technology, tools, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment), infrastructure, and human resources (HR). The implementation of the PTOS-M system has proven effective, reducing port stay time by 33% from an average of 3 days to 2 days and increasing work safety.
"This transformation also brings positive impacts such as increased operational efficiency, reduced logistics costs, and increased work safety. The implementation of the PTOS-M system also allows operational services to run without queues, increasing efficiency and transparency," explained Indra.
PTP Nonpetikemas mencatat peningkatan produktivitas operasional hingga November 2024 di berbagai cabangnya berkat transformasi yang telah dilaksanakan. Salah satu pencapaian terbesar diraih oleh Cabang Tanjung Priok, yang mencatat produktivitas tertinggi pada general cargo dengan capaian 4.090 T/S/D. Tidak hanya itu, Cabang Teluk Bayur juga menunjukkan kinerja gemilang dengan capaian curah cair sebesar 116% dari target RKAP hingga November 2024 (6.278 T/S/D dari target 5.399 T/S/D). Sementara itu, Cabang Bengkulu mencatat hasil mengesankan dengan produktivitas curah cair yang melesat hingga 151% (1.048 T/S/D dari target 691 T/S/D) dan curah kering yang mencapai 119% (8.226 T/S/D dari target 6.878 T/S/D). Selain itu, Cabang Pontianak turut mencatat kinerja positif dengan capaian 112% pada kategori curah cair (3.164 T/S/D dari target 2.818 T/S/D), 167% pada kategori curah kering (953 T/S/D dari target 570 T/S/D), 141% pada kategori general cargo (1.728 T/S/D dari target 1.219 T/S/D), dan 128% pada kategori bag cargo (549 T/S/D dari target 427 T/S/D). Cabang Jambi mengalami perkembangan yang luar biasa dengan capaian 177% pada curah cair (1.738 T/S/D dari target 981 T/S/D) dan 542% pada general cargo (3.752 T/S/D dari target 692 T/S/D).
"PTP Nonpetikemas also plays an active role in supporting the National Strategic Project (PSN), including the Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) project of PT Borneo Alumina Indonesia at the Kijing Terminal. PTP provides logistics services for raw materials and production results, strengthening the downstreaming of national minerals," added Indra.
The various achievements that PTP Nonpetikemas has achieved in 2024 are a reflection of PTP Nonpetikemas' commitment to supporting the development of the national logistics and infrastructure sectors. The first container service in Ketapang, handling of the alumina smelter grade project, to the expansion of services at the Kijing Terminal handling new commodities such as Caustic Soda Liquid, show our efforts to continue to innovate and expand the scope of services.

Expand the Market
Looking ahead to 2025, PTP Nonpetikemas will expand its market with a terminalization strategy in various branches and the development of international standard shorebase services.
Currently, PTP has served domestic and international clients, including Mubadala, Harbour energy, HCML, Schlumberger and Kangean energy, Medco energy, MGA. In addition, PTP manages six TUKS, including TLB Bengkulu, PTBA Teluk Bayur, and Musim Mas Jambi, with plans for further expansion to open up new cooperation opportunities.
This is also in line with the grand design strategy for increasing non-container business. This step aims to strengthen the role of multipurpose terminals as the main driver of regional economic growth.
"PTP Nonpetikemas is committed to modernizing the terminal through various strategies, including involving partners such as PBM, TUKS, and BUP to improve dock services with a focus on efficiency. Prioritizing the use of more modern main equipment and a commitment to implementing the K3 (Health, Safety & Security) principles, as well as optimizing port facilities through dock asset maintenance and joint investment contributions," explained Indra.
PTP Nonpetikemas also adopts the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) and a business judgment rule-based approach to ensure reliable, efficient, and customer-satisfying services. In addition, educational programs for shipping lines, loading/unloading partners, and trucking services are also a major focus in order to create better synergy.
"Through the implementation of this strategy, PTP Nonpetikemas targets increased loading and unloading productivity, reduction of direct and indirect costs, standardization of equipment and facilities, and better planning and control. Multipurpose terminals must be the main choice with the best service standards, while also encouraging regional economic growth," concluded Indra.
Reduce Port Stay and Cargo Stay
PTP Nonpetikemas Corporate Secretary, Fiona Sari Utami added, as part of the long-term vision, the main focus of PTP 2025 is to reduce Port Stay and Cargo Stay, expand cooperation in the oil and gas sector, focus on terminalization in strategic branches, and significant investments made in equipment such as cranes and conveyors to support faster and more efficient loading and unloading processes.
In addition, PTP Nonpetikemas ensures that port services run 24/7, including during the 2024/2025 Christmas and New Year holidays. The main focus remains on safety and punctuality, ensuring the smooth running of national logistics.
