JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) - In celebration of International Anti-Corruption Day (HAKORDIA), observed annually on December 9, Pelindo Regional 2 held awareness and education activities to promote the rejection of corrupt practices.
On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at
the Indonesian Maritime Museum, Pelindo Regional 2 organized an event under the
2024 HAKORDIA theme: “Strengthening Commitment to Eradicate Corruption for an
Advanced Indonesia.” The event encouraged all employees to commit to combating
corruption, culminating in a joint signing of the Anti-Corruption Commitment.
The event was attended by key
figures, including the Regional Division Head of HR & General Services,
Dian Vegawati; Regional Division Head of Operations, Wasistianto; Regional
Division Head of Engineering, Hardi Wibowo; and 50 employees of Pelindo
Regional 2.
In his speech, Drajat Sulistyo,
Executive Director of Regional 2 Pelindo, highlighted that numerous reports of
corruption appear on social and online media. He identified three root causes
of corruption: Pressure, Opportunity, and Rationalization, with rationalization
being the most frequently encountered.
He emphasized the importance of
adhering to Good Corporate Governance (GCG) principles to mitigate these
factors. He encouraged employees to ensure that their work complies with
established procedures and to consult the Legal Department when in doubt.
“We urge all Pelindo Regional 2
employees to create an honest and transparent work environment. Report any
violations of rules, including instances of gratuities, and let us actively
contribute to eradicating corruption together,” stated Drajat Sulistyo.
The event featured a sharing
session and concluded with the signing of the Joint Anti-Corruption Commitment
by Pelindo Regional 2.
