SURABAYA (ISL News) - On June 1 2024 PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) held a Flag Ceremony to commemorate the Republic of Indonesia's "Pancasila Sanctity Day" which is celebrated every year according to the decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia at the courtyard of the Pelindo Sub Regional Java Regional 3 office, Tanjung Harbor Perak Surabaya.
The commemoration of Pancasila's Birthday in 2024 carries the theme "Pancasila is the Soul of Unifying the Nation Towards a Golden Indonesia 2045". This theme contains the meaning that Pancasila unites us with all ethnic, religious, cultural and linguistic differences in welcoming 100 years of advanced, independent and sovereign Golden Indonesia.
The ceremony was led by Johanes Wahyu Hertanto, Regional Division Head of Regional Operations 3 of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) and attended by all representatives of Pelindo Group employees consisting of Pelindo Regional 3, Sub Holdings and Subsidiaries.
The Ceremony to Commemorate the Birth of Pancasila began with the raising of the Red and White flag, then continued with the reading of the Pancasila Text, followed by successive readings of the 1945 Constitution, the Ceremony Inspector's Message, Reading Prayers and ending with the Submission of the Ceremony Commander's Report to the Ceremony Inspector.
Quoting the speech of the Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) of the Republic of Indonesia, Johanes Wahyu emphasized that in facing the development of the global situation which is currently starting to spread marked by the rapid progress of communication technology so that it becomes a challenge in itself for the Indonesian nation, for this reason Pancasila is expected to become a filter so that The Indonesian people do not experience disorientation in the future.
"The rapid progress of information technology today, which is marked by the massive use of technology and smart phones (smartphones) in accessing information through various media, must be used wisely to broadcast positive content and narratives that reflect the actualization of Pancasila values in the midst of social life, nation and state," he explained.
"For this reason, I invite all components of the nation to prioritize Pancasila with contemporary methods and methods in welcoming the demographic bonus which will place millennials and Gen-Z as the main actors in nation development," he explained.
"With the strong spirit of Pancasila, I am sure that all the challenges that the Indonesian people will face will be able to be overcome. Moreover, in the midst of the global crisis, Indonesia has succeeded in maintaining economic, social and political stability. "This success is certainly a contribution of mutual cooperation among all the nation's children with the Pancasila ideology as the basic foundation," he added.
Johanes also advised all Pelindo personnel to work together to care for the gift of Pancasila through the commemoration of Pancasila's Birthday on June 1. He said that Indonesia would experience a golden age in 2045. At that time, Indonesia would be 100 years old, aka a century old. At that time, Indonesia was targeted to become a developed country and be on par with the superpowers. Therefore, we must work together and collaborate to maintain harmony and integrity as a form of implementing the values of Pancasila.
In order to create Indonesian human resources that are superior, high quality and have strong character to meet the future of the Indonesian nation, Pancasila was born to become the strength of the Indonesian nation, a guide in all areas of social, national and state life.
The hope is that the commemoration of Pancasila's Birthday can inspire all of us to continue to practice Pancasila for the sake of an Indonesia that is advanced, just, prosperous and dignified on the world stage.
