MAKASSAR (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 4 held In House Training for Petugas Pertolongan Pertama Pada Kecelakaan (P3K) "Certification of the Ministry of Manpower & Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia" Batch 1 (first) in the AKHLAK Meeting Room, 7th Floor, Pelindo Regional 4 Office in Makassar, Monday (10 June 2024).
Executive Director 4 Pelindo Regional 4, Abdul Azis, in his speech said that this activity was an effort to provide protection for workers who experienced accidents at work.
"So it is necessary to provide first aid quickly and precisely, in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower & Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia No. PER15/MEN/VIII/2008 concerning First Aid for Accidents (P3K) in the workplace," said Abdul Azis.
The aim of the training which was held for 4 days (Monday to Thursday (10 - 13 June 2024), was to provide knowledge and understanding regarding the implementation of First Aid in the workplace environment.
"It is hoped that all participants who are first aid officers will be able to improve their skills in providing first aid for sudden illnesses and work accidents.
"With this first aid training, we hope that all participants will be able to know basic knowledge regarding first aid in accidents, in the form of initial treatment of victims before they are treated by medical personnel so that they can minimize the severity experienced by victims."
This year's First Aid training activities will be carried out in 2 batches, considering that there are quite a large number of participants from the Pelindo Group in the Regional 4 area, namely 31 people from subholdings and subsidiary companies in the Regional 4 work area.
This large number of participants indicates that currently Pelindo Group Management is very focused on paying attention to K3 aspects in the workplace, starting from preventive aspects (safety campaigns) to curative and rehabilitative actions for victims of work accidents and occupational diseases.
"I really hope that all first aid training participants will focus on the training for the next 4 days, so that later they will not only get a piece of certification paper but the most important thing will be knowledge in providing first aid for accidents for victims," said Executive Director 4 Pelindo Regional 4, Abdul Aziz.
