JAKARTA (ISL News) - PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk (IDX:SMDR) recorded a net profit of USD 10.2 million during the first three months or first quarter of 2024, this achievement is said to be down 63.1 percent compared to the same period in 2023 which reached USD27 .436 million.
SMDR President Director, Bani Maulana Mulia said that service revenue was worth USD156.4 million in the first quarter of 2024. "This result is down 24.6 percent compared to the first quarter of 2023 which was stated at USD207.66 million.
"The reason is, mining money income dropped 38.3 percent on an
annual basis to USD 95,413 million at the end of the first quarter of 2024. But
income from agency, forwarding and port services grew 2.8
percent annually to Rp. 25,404 million in the first quarter of 2024," said
Bani M Mulia, at the Investor Gathering Event, Tuesday 30 April 2024.
Likewise,
said Bani M. Mulia, income from container and cargo handling services rose 30.4
percent annually to USD 18.425 million.
"In
fact, time-based ship rental income jumped 74.2 percent on an annual basis to
USD 11,597 million. "Even though service costs can be reduced by 15.4
percent on an annual basis to USD 131.08 million in the first quarter of 2024,
gross profit is still cut by 51.9 percent on an annual basis to USD 25.31
million," added Bani M. Mulia.

with a capacity of 5800 CBM.

from that, Samudera Indonesia launched the Sinar Sulawesi container ship with a
capacity of 1900 TEUs on April 8 2024.
Samudera
Indonesia also succeeded in building 2 barges, namely Amanah Barito and Amanah
Banjar as well as 2 tugboats, namely Jaya Barito and Jaya Nur.
In
the future, Samudera Indonesia will launch the Sinar Pajajaran container ship
with a capacity of 588 TEUs in May 2024
