SURABAYA (ISL News) - PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) has once again achieved success by winning the 2026 Radar Surabaya Awards in the category of Company with the Best Maritime Logistics Innovation & Synergy. The award was given in appreciation of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong's success in presenting the Easy Access Zone Integration (EAZI) innovation that is able to reduce the time between ships (Ship to Ship/STS) from previously 4-5 hours to an average of only 1 hour 30 minutes. This innovation has been proven to improve the efficiency of ship services, increase terminal service capacity, and support the acceleration of national logistics flows.
The award was presented at an awards ceremony held at the Vasa Hotel Ballroom in Surabaya on Thursday (30/7). The award was received by Syaiful Anam, Senior Manager of Corporate Secretary and Legal Affairs of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong. The event was attended by Nezar Patria, Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital of the Republic of Indonesia, Lilik Widyantoro, Director of Radar Surabaya, and H. Lutfi El Hakim, Chairman of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) for East Java. The Radar Surabaya Awards is an appreciation event for various institutions and figures who are considered to have made real contributions to the development and progress of East Java.
This award recognizes PT Terminal Teluk Lamong's success in delivering service innovation through the implementation of EAZI, which was first implemented at the Nilam Container Terminal (TPK Nilam) in May 2026. Through optimizing berthing area management and regulating ship service patterns, this innovation has succeeded in increasing operational efficiency while increasing the terminal's service capacity, thereby providing real benefits to service users and supporting the smooth running of the national supply chain.
EAZI is the result of a collaboration between terminal operators, regulators, and various port stakeholders to create a faster, more integrated, safer, and more efficient ship service system. Through more optimal management of berthing patterns, ship-to-ship (STS) changeover times can be significantly shortened without compromising safety or service quality.
The implementation of this innovation has had a significant impact on operational productivity at TPK Nilam. Ship-to-Ship (STS) times, previously in the range of 4–5 hours, have been reduced to an average of just 1 hour and 30 minutes, or less than two hours. This efficiency not only increases terminal facility utilization but also provides greater flexibility to accommodate additional vessel visits without requiring new infrastructure investment, maximizing terminal service capacity.
The successful implementation of EAZI is also reflected in the operational performance of TPK Nilam, which recorded its highest container throughput of 2026 in May, with a volume of 49,685 TEUs. This achievement further underscores the effectiveness of innovation in supporting increased productivity and terminal performance.
After receiving the award, Syaiful Anam, Senior Manager of Corporate Secretary and Legal Affairs at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, expressed his appreciation to Radar Surabaya for the recognition. He stated that this achievement is the result of collaboration between all PT Terminal Teluk Lamong employees, regulators, and stakeholders in delivering innovative port services that deliver tangible benefits to service users.
