BANJARMASIN (ISL News) – The haze blanketing Banjarmasin City and its surrounding areas has drawn the attention of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 3, Kalimantan Sub-Regional. Despite this, port operations and services at Trisakti Port in Banjarmasin remain normal and smooth, with safety as a priority.
Listio Margianto, Junior General Manager and Public Relations of Pelindo Kalimantan Sub-Regional, stated that Pelindo continues to monitor the haze conditions, particularly if it has the potential to impact visibility and operational safety in the port area. "So far, port operations and services in Banjarmasin have continued to run smoothly. However, we remain vigilant and ensure the safety of workers, partners, and service users remains our top priority," Listio said.
Pelindo also ensures that all operational activities are carried out in accordance with applicable safety procedures. Coordination between operational elements, HSSE, and related parties is ongoing as a precautionary measure against possible reduced visibility or other conditions that could impact port activities.
Beyond operational aspects, the haze is also a concern for worker health, particularly for personnel working outdoors. Pelindo urges all workers and partners to increase vigilance and use the necessary personal protective equipment appropriate to the conditions on site.
Pelindo strives to maintain continuous service and smooth logistics flow through Trisakti Port in Banjarmasin. With the spirit of "Serving Wholeheartedly," Pelindo will continue to maintain service quality while ensuring safety remains a priority in all port activities.
