BANDAR LAMPUNG (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Panjang recorded positive operational performance until the first semester of 2026. Growth occurred in a number of key port service indicators, especially ship flow and goods flow, which indicates increasing logistics activity at Panjang Port as one of the main gateways for goods distribution in the southern Sumatra region.
Based on operational data through June 2026, ship traffic reached 1,779 units, a 9.95% year-on-year increase compared to 1,618 units in the same period in 2025. In terms of gross tonnage (GT), the volume of ships served reached 11,751,830 GT, representing an 11.00% increase compared to the 10,587,406 GT recorded in the first semester of 2025.
Positive performance was also seen in the flow of goods, particularly containers. As of June 2026, container flow reached 64,787 TEUs, a 17.44% increase compared to the 55,167 TEUs achieved in the first half of 2025. Meanwhile, the volume of goods in tons/m³ reached 4,111,369 tons/m³, representing a 19.89% increase compared to the same period the previous year of 3,429,421 tons/m³.
On the other hand, the flow of livestock served was recorded at 69,088 heads, while vehicle services reached 23,656 units, indicating that Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang remains committed to providing services for various types of commodities served at the port.
In addition to growth compared to the previous year, several indicators have also exceeded the targets for the first semester of 2026. Actual containerized cargo flow has reached approximately 127.83% of the semester target, while the flow of goods in tons/m³ has reached 122.38% of the set target. This achievement reflects the increasing trust of service users in Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang services and is an indicator of improving trade and logistics distribution activities in the Lampung region and its surroundings.
General Manager of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Panjang, Hardianto, said that this achievement was the result of the company's consistency in improving service quality, optimizing operations, and close collaboration with all stakeholders.
