CILEGON (ISL News) – Pelindo Regional 2 Banten recorded a positive operational performance trend throughout the first half of 2026. According to the company's Business Performance Report, several aspects grew compared to the same period the previous year. This achievement aligns with Pelindo's commitment to continuously support smooth national logistics operations and the government and Danantara's vision of maintaining stable economic growth.
One indicator showing improvement is total ship traffic. During the first half of 2026, the volume of ships served reached 22,467,366 Gross Tonnage/GT. This achievement increased by 15.21% compared to the same period in 2025, which was recorded at 19,500,514 GT. This increase reflects the growing trust of shipping service users and industry in continuing to utilize services and operations at Ciwandan Port.
In line with this, consolidated international freight traffic also showed positive growth. Total freight flow in the first half of 2026 was recorded at 2.27 million tons, a 10.73% increase compared to the 2.05 million tons recorded in the first half of 2025. This increase was primarily driven by a 20.75% increase in dry bulk cargo volumes to 1.28 million tons, up from 1.06 million tons last year. Furthermore, general cargo also contributed significantly, growing 13.80% to 473.89 thousand tons, compared to 416.43 thousand tons the previous year.
In terms of service level, Pelindo Regional 2 Banten also continues to strive to improve the efficiency of goods handling in the field. This is evident in the increase in productivity of handling non-containerized goods at the multipurpose terminal for international routes. Dry Bulk productivity increased by 77.75% from 197.4 T/G/H (Ton/Gang/Hour) in 2025 to 350.87 T/G/H in the first semester of 2026. Meanwhile, Liquid Bulk commodity productivity also increased by 61.65% from 184.97 T/G/H to 299 T/G/H.
General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Benny Ariadi, said that this achievement was inseparable from the synergy that was built between the company, its partners, and various related stakeholders.

With these achievements in the first semester of 2026, Pelindo Regional 2 Banten will continue to strive to maintain consistent, safe, transparent, and efficient services.
