SURABAYA (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) received a recess working visit from Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the 2025–2026 session period, led by the Chair of the Recess Visit Team, Anggia Ermarini , in Surabaya, Friday (24/7). The visit served as a forum for evaluation and strengthening synergy between the DPR RI and state-owned enterprises (BUMN) in encouraging improved performance in the national port sector.
In the meeting, Pelindo was represented by President Director Achmad Muchtasyar , Operations Director Prasetyadi , Institutional Relations Director Hendri Ginting , and Finance Director Bachtiar Soeria Atmaja .
Before Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Pelindo presented its operational performance achievements during the first semester of 2026, which showed a positive growth trend across various service lines.
These achievements include ship throughput reaching 681 million GT , a 3% year-on-year increase . Container throughput reaching 10 million TEUs , a 7% year-on-year increase . Passenger throughput reaching 11.6 million people , a 9% year-on-year increase .
This growth indicates that Pelindo's business transformation and digitalization efforts continue to have a tangible impact on improving operational efficiency, service quality, and national logistics connectivity.
President Director of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), Achmad Muchtasyar , said that the positive performance was the result of the company's consistency in carrying out the post-Pelindo integration transformation.
"Our first-half 2026 achievements demonstrate that our transformation is moving in the right direction. Digitalization of business processes, service standardization, and strengthening operational integration have increased port productivity while providing faster, more reliable, and more efficient services to our customers. Pelindo remains committed to supporting the smooth operation of the national logistics chain and Indonesia's economic growth."
Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Recess Working Visit Team of Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Anggia Ermarini , appreciated Pelindo's performance achievements which continue to show improvements and asked the company to maintain the momentum of the transformation that has been carried out.
