JAKARTA (ISL News) - PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva (PT PSL) continues to support the strengthening of strategic port-based regional connectivity to facilitate the flow of goods, strengthen regional integration, and enhance regional competitiveness. One strategic infrastructure project currently entering the operational preparation stage is the Teluk Lamong Flyover (FOTL), whose construction has been completed.
The FOTL is a connectivity infrastructure project connecting Teluk Lamong Terminal to the surrounding main road network. The infrastructure has reached 100 percent physical completion and is currently in the operational preparation phase before it can be fully utilized to support smooth logistics and port activities in East Java.
The development of the FOTL is part of an effort to strengthen connectivity between ports, industrial areas, distribution centers, and major transportation networks. Integrated connectivity is a crucial factor in creating efficient goods movement, reducing logistical barriers, and supporting a smooth supply chain in the port hinterland .
As a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) which focuses on port support services and the development of areas integrated with the port, PT PSL through its business entity, PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia (PT API), plays a role in supporting the pre-operational readiness of FOTL to ensure that the technical, operational, safety, and operational governance aspects run according to the established standards.
In the future, FOTL is also planned to be integrated with the West Outer Ring Road (JLLB), access to Gelora Bung Tomo, and the Romokalisari Toll Road. This integration is expected to strengthen connectivity in the hinterland , support smooth distribution of goods, and increase the efficiency of logistics movements in East Java and the surrounding areas.
Dewi Fitriyani, Senior Vice President of Corporate Secretariat of PT Pelindo Sinergi Lokaseva, stated that developing connectivity to the port area is a crucial element in creating an integrated and value-added port ecosystem. Furthermore, this access infrastructure development has been long-awaited by service users, as it will streamline access to Teluk Lamong Port, which currently experiences very heavy traffic.
"Ports serve not only as transportation hubs but also as drivers of regional growth. Therefore, PT PSL will continue to support infrastructure and connectivity development that strengthens the integration of port areas with industrial activities, trade, and port services, thereby creating sustainable added value for the national and regional economies," Dewi said.
