INDONESIA (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 won the iNews Digital Innovation Award 2026 in the Public Services category for the digital innovation implemented in the management of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr Transportation services.
The award was given as a form of appreciation for the implementation of the 2026 Eid Transportation Command Center developed by Pelindo Regional 2 to monitor in real time the flow of ships, vehicles, logistics, and the movement of more than 196 thousand passengers during the 2026 Eid Transportation period.
In addition, Pelindo Regional 2 was also deemed successful in building digital coordination with the Port Authority (KSOP) and port stakeholders to ensure effective, responsive, and integrated public services.
General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Benny Ariadi, expressed his appreciation for the performance of all Pelindo employees and stakeholders involved in managing this year's Eid al-Fitr transportation.
"This award is the result of collaboration and hard work from all parties involved in ensuring the safe, smooth, and controlled operation of Eid al-Fitr transportation services. The use of digital technology through the Command Center is a crucial part of supporting rapid and responsive decision-making in the field," said Benny.
He added that coordination between agencies during the Eid al-Fitr transportation period is an important factor in maintaining the smooth flow of passengers and logistics at ports.
Meanwhile, Executive Director 2 of Pelindo Regional 2, Budi Prasetio, emphasized that the digital innovations implemented during the Eid al-Fitr Transportation at Ciwandan Port will continue to be developed and implemented in other branches within Pelindo Regional 2 that manage the Eid al-Fitr Transportation.
"The digital innovation implemented at Ciwandan Port has become an important learning experience for us in improving the quality of public services at the port. Moving forward, we will promote the implementation of this integrated monitoring system and pattern at other Pelindo Regional 2 branches serving Eid al-Fitr transportation," Budi explained.
According to him, digital transformation is a crucial part of strengthening port services, particularly to support more effective, adaptive, and real-time data-driven public services.
"Pelindo Regional 2 will continue to promote digital transformation in port operations to optimize services to the public and service users," he concluded.
