SURABAYA (ISL News, April 16, 2026) – PT Terminal Petikemas Surabaya (TPS) management continues to follow up on its commitment to managing the company as a sustainable business. One of these commitments is ensuring that the company's management is based on Governance, Risk, and Compliance .
Among these efforts is to include the TPS Management team in the GRC Certified Professional (GRCP) training and competency test which was held on April 13–15, 2026 at the ASECC Tower Building, Airlangga University, Surabaya.
As part of the Pelindo Group, TPS operates in a strategic business environment that demands robust Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) standards. GRC implementation is a critical foundation for maintaining the company's service continuity, enhancing stakeholder trust, and ensuring all business processes align with national regulations and international best practices.
Within the Pelindo Group's integrated ecosystem, GRC serves as a strategic control system to ensure transparent corporate governance, measurable risk management, and consistent regulatory compliance. For TPS, GRC is not only a supervisory instrument but also a decision-making tool that supports the company's performance from a comprehensive perspective.
The dynamics of the global logistics industry, digital transformation, and increasing customer expectations demand that companies have human resources with a comprehensive understanding of governance, risk, and compliance management. Therefore, GRC training is a strategic necessity to equip TPS personnel with the competencies to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks, while ensuring company policies and management remain aligned with good governance principles and comply with applicable regulations.
This GRCP training and certification aims to build internal professional capabilities in integrating governance, risk management, and compliance into every business process.
Jeanny Harjono, Senior Vice President of Finance and Risk Management, stated that strengthening GRC competencies is part of the company's strategy to maintain public trust. " GRCP certification is a strategic investment by TPS to ensure that every business decision is made prudently, risk-based, and in accordance with applicable regulations ," she said.
The implementation of GRC at TPS is part of the company's management strategy in dealing with operational, financial, compliance, and strategic risks.
