JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News, April 23, 2026) – Efforts to strengthen the smooth flow of logistics in western Indonesia continue to be accelerated. PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) Teluk Bayur Area and PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP) Non-petikemas Teluk Bayur Branch have officially established operational synergy to optimize the utilization of docks and loading and unloading equipment at Teluk Bayur Port, West Sumatra.
This collaboration is part of cross-functional coordination within the Pelindo Group, which integrates container terminal management, multipurpose services, and operational support in the field to create a more efficient and integrated service system.
"This synergy is not just operational cooperation, but a concrete step to ensure that every port asset is optimally utilized," said Erika Sudarto, Operations Manager of IPC TPK Teluk Bayur Area. "By integrating the docks and loading and unloading equipment, we are promoting a faster, more efficient, and more reliable service flow for all service users."
Through this agreement, the two entities integrate the use of dock facilities, the provision of competent stevedoring operators, and support for stevedoring, lift-on/lift-off (Lo/Lo), and haulage services. The provision of weighbridges for dry bulk cargo handling is also being strengthened to ensure accuracy and efficiency in every loading and unloading process.
Intensive coordination across operational lines is key to implementing this collaboration. Alignment of ship berthing planning, equipment readiness, and cargo flow management are all carried out in an integrated manner to reduce waiting times and increase terminal productivity.
The synergy, which began with the signing of an agreement at Pelindo Tower, Jakarta, also reinforces Pelindo Group's commitment to building a sustainable logistics ecosystem, particularly in the West Sumatra region as a gateway for commodity distribution.
The signing ceremony on this occasion was attended by Pratiwi Karim as Senior Commercial Manager of IPC TPK, Erika Sudarto as Operations Manager of IPC TPK Teluk Bayur Area, Fauzi as Branch Manager of PT PTP Nonpetikemas Teluk Bayur Branch, Billy Agus Nugroho as Deputy Manager of Operations Support of PT PTP Nonpetikemas Teluk Bayur Branch and Management of IPC TPK Teluk Bayur Area.
Erika emphasized that this cross-entity collaboration will be a crucial foundation for driving future port performance. "With solid coordination between functions and integrated asset utilization, we are optimistic that loading and unloading productivity at Teluk Bayur will increase significantly and have a sustainable impact on regional economic growth," she concluded.
