JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News, March 10, 2026) - Amidst the increasing humanitarian needs, both at the local and global levels, the concern of various parties is becoming increasingly meaningful. Starting from the spirit of sharing during the month of Ramadan, PT IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) together with its employees distributed zakat funds amounting to Rp200 million to help mustahik around the company's operational area and communities affected by the humanitarian crisis in Palestine, especially in the Gaza Strip.
The zakat funds are the result of joint contributions between the company and IPC TPK workers collected through the IPC TPK Islamic Propagation Development Center (PPDI), then distributed through credible humanitarian and philanthropic institutions, namely Lazisku, Adara Relief International, and Rumah Zakat.
The Head of the PPDI IPC TPK, Agus Fazri, stated that the zakat distributed represents a form of collective concern involving employee participation and company support. "This zakat comes from contributions from IPC TPK employees, pooled together with the company. We distribute it through credible institutions so that its benefits reach those who mustahik (beneficiaries), both in the surrounding area and in need in Palestine," Agus said.
A total of Rp 100 million was distributed through Lazisku to communities in need around the IPC TPK operational area. Meanwhile, Rp 50 million was distributed through Adara Relief International to assist those entitled to receive alms in Palestine, particularly in the Gaza Strip. Another Rp 50 million was distributed through Rumah Zakat to residents in need in North Jakarta.
This zakat distribution reflects IPC TPK's efforts to provide broader benefits, not only to the communities surrounding the company but also to the global community facing humanitarian challenges.
"The aid distributed through Adara Relief International will be used to provide Eid gifts to orphans in Gaza. Collaborations like this provide hope for many families in Palestine," said Maryam, President Director of Adara Relief International.
Through this initiative, IPC TPK hopes that the growing spirit of sharing within the company environment can provide real benefits to communities in need, while strengthening the values of social care that are part of the company's culture.
