CIWANDAN BANTEN (ISL News, February 13, 2026) – PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Banten received a working visit from the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development on Friday (February 13). The visit was conducted to monitor and evaluate the implementation of port digitalization and control regional connectivity policies at Ciwandan Port, Banten.
The delegation from the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development was led by the Assistant Deputy for Inter-Regional Connectivity Development, Djoko Hartoyo, and his staff. The main agenda of the visit focused on a field review of the implementation of the digitalization system for port services and in-depth discussions on strategic issues related to national connectivity.
This step is part of the central government's policy coordination, synchronization, and control efforts, particularly in supporting the National Logistics Governance Reform Action as outlined in the National Corruption Prevention Strategy (Stranas PK).
General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Benny Ariadi, warmly welcomed the visit and stated that the presence of the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development was an encouragement for management to continue improving technology-based service standards.
"We greatly appreciate the attention and support from the Coordinating Ministry for Infrastructure and Regional Development through today's monitoring visit. For us, port digitalization is not just about modernizing equipment, but rather the primary foundation for creating a transparent, efficient, and barrier-free logistics ecosystem, as mandated by the National Strategy for Port Management," said Benny.
As part of the series of activities, the management of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten invited a delegation from the Coordinating Ministry to directly observe the implementation of digital systems in the Ciwandan Port operational area. Furthermore, strategic discussions were held to map the challenges and opportunities in strengthening interregional connectivity through the vital role of the Banten Port.
Benny emphasized that Pelindo Regional 2 Banten is ready to continue making continuous improvements to the existing digital infrastructure, in accordance with the directions and targets outlined by the Deputy Assistant for Inter-Regional Connectivity Development.
"The input and evaluation from the Deputy Assistant and his staff are important to us. Pelindo Regional 2 Banten is fully committed to improving the implementation of digital systems to optimize management and operations at Ciwandan Port," Benny concluded.
Through strong synergy between port operators and regulators, Pelindo Regional 2 Banten is optimistic that it can realize high-standard, accountable port services that are able to respond to the dynamics of future logistics needs.
