JAKARTA (ISL News, February 3, 2026) — The Tanjung Priok Sea and Coast Guard Base (KPLP) through its Rescue Team successfully evacuated victims of a fishing boat accident that sank in the waters of Area Buoy 2, Tanjung Priok Port channel.
The evacuation was carried out after the Tanjung Priok KPLP Base Command and Control Center (Puskodal) received a report of the incident. Following the orders and swift response of the Tanjung Priok PLP Base Chief, Fourmansyah, SH, MM, MH, the Rescue Team immediately moved to the location to conduct a rescue operation.
Three fishermen were successfully evacuated through a collaborative effort between the SAR team and local fishermen. All victims are safe, have undergone health checks by the Tanjung Priok KPLP Base team, and have since returned to their homes.
This activity is a manifestation of the state's presence through KPLP in providing shipping safety and security services and protection to maritime communities, especially in the waters of Tanjung Priok Port.
