SURABAYA (ISL News) - Kelompok Pembudidaya Ikan (Pokdakan) The Kalitangi Asri Romokalisari – Surabaya City attended an invitation to a sharing session held by the Nambangan Perak Fishermen Group, Surabaya City in the context of further developing sustainable soft-shell crab cultivation.
The sharing session was attended by the Head of the Kalitangi Asri Romokalisari Fishing Group, Amin. Amin explained that the event aimed to share knowledge on water filtration systems for soft-shell crab cultivation and provide solutions to various operational issues faced by the Nambangan Perak Fishermen's Group. This was a follow-up activity after the Nambangan Perak Fishermen's Group - Surabaya City conducted benchmarking of soft-shell crab cultivation with the Kalitangi Asri Romokalisari Fishing Group in early December 2025.
"We accepted and attended the invitation from the Nambangan Perak Fishermen's Group with the aim of sharing how to optimize soft-shell crab cultivation to increase productivity and obtain maximum harvest yields," said Amin.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Soft-shelled Crab Cultivation Program, KUB Bintang Laut, Nambangan Perak Fishermen Group – Surabaya City, Sukron, emphasized that this sharing session activity is a follow-up program to strengthen knowledge transfer, increase the technical capacity of cultivators, and encourage the independence and sustainability of soft-shelled crab cultivation businesses in the coastal areas of Surabaya.
This activity is fully supported and facilitated by PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) as part of the company's commitment to its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. Dahlia Permata Sari, Corporate Communications Manager of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, stated that the company consistently supports synergy between coastal community groups to improve local economic well-being.

This initiative is expected to improve the quality of soft-shelled crab cultivation while strengthening collaborative networks between fishing groups and fish farmers in the Surabaya area. This aligns with efforts to promote inclusive economic growth in coastal communities. Furthermore, PT Terminal Teluk Lamong hopes the soft-shelled crab cultivation program will improve the livelihoods of fishermen while preserving coastal ecosystems.
