BANTEN INDONESIA (ISL News) – On February 11, 2025, yesterday in the framework of the 2025 National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month, Pelindo Regional 2 Banten held a joint roll call as the closing of a series of activities to commemorate the 2025 K3 Month. Taking place in the yard of the Pelindo Regional 2 Banten Office, the event also provided appreciation to the winners of the K3 Competition.
General Manager (GM) Pelindo Regional 2 Banten, Benny Ariadi, as the K3 Roll Call instructor delivered the Mandate from the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia. In his speech, Benny emphasized that this year's K3 Month commemoration carries the theme "Strengthening Human Resource Capacity in Supporting the Implementation of the K3 Management System (SMK3) to Increase Productivity".
The industry in the future will face new risks due to changes in worker demographics, technological developments, and global demands. The use of advanced technology in production will have an impact on new work patterns that can affect physical and mental health.
The roll call was attended by all employees of Pelindo Regional 2 Banten along with Subholding and Subsidiaries. Not only that, as part of a series of K3 Month activities, the Pelindo Regional 2 Employee Wives Association also held an action to plant 50 Bougainvillea trees in the Ciwandan Port environment. This initiative is a real manifestation of building a greener and healthier work environment.
In addition, an HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Forum was also held at the Pelindo Regional 2 Banten Office which was attended by management, partners, and all workers. This forum highlighted the importance of collaboration in HSSE management that focuses on three main pillars: People (Human Resources), Plant (Equipment and Infrastructure), and Procedure (Safety Procedures and Protocols).
Benny Ariadi said that the implementation of SMK3 in the port environment is a manifestation of Pelindo Group's commitment to improve the effectiveness of occupational safety and health protection. This achievement cannot be separated from the commitment of Pelindo management in implementing HSSE with a target of zero fatality, zero accident, and zero damage, especially in the Ciwandan Port area. This certainly needs to be supported by all parties, both internal and external. His party encourages K3 to become a shared culture to always be implemented. "Pelindo Regional 2 Banten is very concerned about the K3 aspect, so we want to ensure that all workers have the same understanding and concern for the importance of occupational safety and health," said Benny.
The roll call was also attended by representatives of the KSOP of Class 1 Banten Port, employees from various companies in the Ciwandan Port environment, work partners, and other business partners. It is hoped that this series of activities can further strengthen the shared commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and productive work environment.
