
MAKASSAR INDONESIA (ISL News) - PT Pelindo Jasa Maritim (SPJM) as one of the Subholdings of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) which operates in the marine service line , port equipment maintenance, utilities, dredging, and shipyards takes an important role in ensuring the smoothness and efficiency of port service time through ensuring the readiness of facilities and infrastructure and ship logistics needs during activities at its main port ahead of the increase in passenger and goods mobilization during the long holiday of the Chinese New Year 2576 Kongzili and Isra Mi'raj.
SPJM Corporate Secretary, Tubagus Patrick stated that in line with the Joint Decree (SKB) between the Ministry of Transportation, the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, and the Ministry of Public Works Number: KP–DRJD 304 of 2025, HK.201/2/5/DJPL/2025, 6/1/2025/Korlantas, 01/PKS/Db/2025 where to ensure smooth traffic flow and crossings at strategic ports during the long Isra Mikraj and Chinese New Year holidays, the government has officially implemented operational regulations for traffic and crossings. Some of these strategic ports include: Merak, Bakauheni, Ketapang, Gilimanuk, Lembar Ports which are the operational areas of the SPJM group.
"For that reason, we as part of the state-owned port company operating throughout Indonesia are also obliged to support the smooth implementation of the Decree by ensuring time efficiency at the port through the readiness of the fleet of facilities and infrastructure, namely tugboats to support ship pilotage services at the port, both for transporting passengers and goods, in addition we also ensure reliable equipment maintenance to guarantee the readiness of equipment at Pelindo Group," said Tubagus Patrick.
As is commonly known, operational arrangements at this strategic port are aimed at avoiding any obstacles to the mobilization of passengers and goods from and to the port, therefore the punctuality of service and readiness of port operational facilities are very crucial.
"Preparing competent personnel in prime condition for service, ensuring operational standards are met, coordinating with related parties to ensure the accuracy and safety of services, especially with uncertain weather conditions like today, of course we must also ensure the completeness of the availability of safety facilities and infrastructure. We have also equipped the personnel who are at the forefront of our service with the ability to respond quickly in the event of an emergency," said Patrick.
Patrick added that in the long holiday conditions and the surge in passengers and the increase in logistics needs, of course our target is the smoothness and safety of service without any obstacles or complaints from service users. Even if there are obstacles, we have mitigated them by providing a call center that is on standby 24/7 through the number 081153507878 which will help service users if there are obstacles in service and also as a medium to obtain information about SPJM services.
"Of course, our efforts also require participation and support from the entire community to implement the Government Decree on operational arrangements at the port that apply during this long holiday so that all parties can realize the smooth and safe flow of passengers and goods," added Tubagus Patrick.
