BANDAR LAMPUNG INDONESIA (ISL News) - IPC Terminal Petikemas/IPC TPK, a subsidiary of Pelindo Terminal Petikemas, has launched its first Container Freight Station (CFS) service in Panjang Area, Lampung. This service is the answer to the needs of service users related to storage facilities and supports the smooth distribution of goods. The management of the Container Freight Station (CFS) of Panjang Port IPC TPK is planned to collaborate with Multi Terminal Indonesia (a subsidiary of Pelindo Solusi Logistik).
IPC TPK Panjang Area Manager Anang Subagyono explained that this collaboration was prepared in order to revive cargo consolidation activities at Panjang Port, considering the strategic layout of Panjang Port between the Container Terminal and CFS. This strategic position can cut the logistics chain and cut logistics costs for goods owners who need Warehouse and CFS facilities.
On December 19, the first stuffing stripping activity was carried out at the facility. This first stuffing stripping activity served stripping for 4 tractor units belonging to importer PT Tanindo Intertraco which were brought by PT MSC Indonesia shipping from Qingdao Port to Panjang Port.
Container Freight Station (CFS) at IPC TPK Panjang Area provides warehouse/storage facilities, container stacking yard and a place for stuffing/stripping . The CFS provided is expected to encourage local market and economic growth with competitive facilities in the international logistics and shipping market and attract more investment and trade volume in the Lampung Province area.
The CFS service launch ceremony was held at the IPC TPK Panjang Area which was attended by Representatives of Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang, General Manager of Logistics Regional 3 PT MTI, Manager of Sumatra Region PT MTI, Representatives of the Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office Type Madya Pabean B Bandar Lampung, Representatives of the Lampung Animal, Fish and Plant Quarantine Center, Branch Manager of MSC Shipping Line, Head of Lampung Branch PT Tresnamuda Sejati, Representatives of PT Pulau Laut Line and Representatives of Consignee PT Munthee Ekspedisi.
" IPC TPK Area Panjang is committed to continue to provide convenience to service users in terms of efficiency in the export and import process of goods, reducing the waiting time for goods and reducing logistics costs. In the future, it is hoped that more stuffing stripping activities will be carried out at the CFS facilities of Panjang Port. Hopefully, by opening the CFS service at IPC TPK Area Panjang, it can reduce logistics costs and support the growth of trade and industry in the Lampung Province area, " concluded Anang.
