JAKARTA INDONESIA (ISL News) - PT Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (Persero) or known as BKI, as the leader of the BUMN Survey Services Holding, has again demonstrated its commitment to expanding business cooperation with international parties.
This was realized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Turk Loydu as a ship classification body from Turkey which is also a member of IACS. This activity took place in Istanbul, Turkey, on Friday, November 29, 2024.
Attended directly by the Director of Operations of PT BKI (Persero), R. Benny Susanto and the Chairman of the BKI Council, Marsetio and General Manager of Turk Loydu, Lutfu Savaskan, who acted as official representatives of both parties. This momentum is a strategic step in strengthening bilateral relations between companies engaged in the field of ship classification.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to open up opportunities for strategic cooperation in various fields, including single and double classification in the certification process of materials and components, provision of engineering services, and implementation of condition surveys and audits for warships.
This cooperation regarding warships includes Naval Ships under the management or procurement of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia, with further provisions and details to be stipulated in a separate agreement by the parties concerned.
Through this collaboration, PT BKI (Persero) and Turk Loydu emphasize their joint commitment to providing high-quality services in the field of ship classification and inspection, in order to support the development of the maritime industry, both in Indonesia and globally.
