JAKARTA TANJUNG PRIOK (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo recorded business revenues up to the third quarter of 2024 of IDR 23.5 trillion or an increase of 4% annually (year on year/yoy).
Pelindo President Director, Arif Suhartono said that this achievement is in line with the operational performance that grew positively in all Pelindo Group business lines until the end of Quarter III-2024.
"The increase in operational performance in all Pelindo business segments shows that the standardization and operational digitalization efforts that Pelindo has carried out have succeeded in serving the increase in the flow of goods that have occurred. This standardization is certainly carried out in an integrated manner with stakeholders and service users which has an impact on reducing port stays at the port," said Arif.
Total non-container cargo flow reached 146 million tons in Q3-2024, growing 16% compared to the same period last year. Total container flow also grew by 7% to 13.8 million TEUs.
The achievement of positive and consistent performance during the 3 years of the merger received appreciation from the Assistant Deputy for Logistics Services at the Ministry of SOEs, Desty Arlaini.
"We appreciate the hard work that Pelindo has done in the past few years. Pelindo has been very consistent in doing what is written in the merger study, both initiatives and quick wins. Operational standardization, digitalization, as well as integration and optimization are all carried out consistently," said Desty.
In addition, Pelindo also recorded an increase in terms of ship and passenger traffic. Ship traffic increased by 11% or 1.04 billion GT. The same thing happened to passenger traffic which also increased by 9% or 14.7 million people in the same period last year.
"This positive achievement does not make us complacent. The uncertain external situation encourages Pelindo to remain focused on maintaining this growth momentum until the end of 2024," concluded Arif.
