TANJUNG PINANG INDONESIA (ISL News) - PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT) Tanjungpinang Branch, as a Subholding of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) in the field of non-container terminal services, inaugurated the implementation of an e-ticketing system at the Sri Bintan Pura Passenger Terminal for ship passengers around the Riau Islands area on Friday (11/15/2024).
In implementing this e-ticketing system, SPMT collaborated with PT Mitra Kasih Perkasa (MKP) to take important steps in the digital transformation of port ship ticket services which can improve the quality of sea transportation services.
"SPMT Tanjungpinang Branch as a non-container manager, one of its segments is the passenger terminal, continues to strive to provide services that provide convenience and comfort for ship passengers. This is also in line with the transformation process that will be carried out at the Sri Bintan Pura Terminal which can improve SPMT's business services," said SPMT Tanjungpinang Branch Manager, Tonny Hendra Cahyadi.
Tonny added that with this e-ticketing system, it is easier for people to buy ship tickets online and do not need to queue at the port. With this system, ship passengers can buy tickets through www.tiketkapal.com or directly at the Self Kiosk that has been provided at the port. The advantage of this system is that it can integrate a centralized passenger data manifest that can be accessed in real time.
The inauguration ceremony of e-ticketing at Sri Bintan Pura was attended by the Head of the Sub-Directorate of Information Systems & Sea Transportation Infrastructure of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Kurniawan; Head of the Tanjungpinang City Transportation Agency, Bobby Wira Satria; CEO of PT MKP, Anggreni Kasih, and shipping company partners.
