JAKARTA (ISL News) - The Ministry of Transportation, Directorate General of Sea Transportation, Class I Tg.Priok Sea and Coast Guard Base (Sea and Coast Guard) through KN.Trisula-P.111 successfully rescued the MT.Green Global tanker which experienced engine failure and was drifting in the TSS area of the Sunda Strait on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 11.48 WIB.
Head of PLP Base Tg.Priok, Dr. Triono, said that this rescue and security operation was carried out after the PLP Base Puskodal Tg.Priok received information from VTS Merak regarding a tanker that had engine failure and was drifting at coordinates 05°54.141'S/105°52.631'E in the TSS waters of the Sunda Strait and quickly deployed the KPLP patrol ship KN.Trisula-P.111 led by the patrol ship commander Capt. Satria, immediately to the location to provide rescue assistance. Thanks to the quick coordination, the MT. Green Global tanker was successfully rescued and evacuated and towed to a safe anchorage area.

This rescue operation also involves cooperation with related parties to ensure the safety and security of the entire ship's crew and prevent environmental pollution. The entire crew of MT. Green Global is reported to be safe and there are no leaks and sea pollution.
