JAKARTA (ISL News) -
After the merger of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) on October 1, 2021, PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 improved services with standardization and digitalization to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of port services for export, import and domestic through the integration of service systems at the port. This received appreciation from DPC INSA Panjang and ALFI/ILFA Lampung (7/7/2024).

Quoting the statement of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Indonesian National Shipowners Association (DPC INSA) Panjang Branch, H. Yusirwan, said that services for ship activities at Panjang Port can now be carried out easily and transparently with the application of technology.

"Currently, requests for ship services to Pelindo can be made anywhere and anytime, through a digital application, so that the procedure is more concise and no longer requires physical contact at the counter. This effectively closes the gap for extortion at Panjang Port. With digitalization, detailed service information is also transparent, so we feel more comfortable," said Yusirwan.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the ALFI/ILFA Lampung Regional Board of Directors H. Zamzani Yasin expressed his appreciation for the steps (Digital Transformation) taken by Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang for the services provided to EMKL. Currently, vehicles entering Panjang Port cannot be careless, only vehicles that already have Single Truck Identification Data (STID) can enter the Panjang Port area.

"Before entering the Port, EMKL companies must upload vehicle data to the Phinnisi system along with the name of the ship and the amount of loading and unloading tonnage to be carried out, so that all service requests and activity reports can be monitored together with related stakeholders and transparent in their reporting," he added.

Separately, Executive Director 2 of Pelindo Regional 2, Drajat Sulistyo expressed his gratitude to DPC INSA Panjang and ALFI/ILFA Lampung for their appreciation, the digitalization transformation that has been implemented is expected to reduce bureaucracy and make it easier for service users to carry out their port activities.

"On behalf of Pelindo Regional 2, I would like to thank you for the good cooperation that has been established so far. Hopefully the steps taken so far will help in port activities," said Drajat.

“Digital transformation is not only about adopting new technologies, but also changing the company culture towards a more open mindset towards innovation and technology adaptation to improve performance and provide added value for customers and other stakeholders,” concluded Drajat.

Pelindo Regional 2 has implemented digitalization and standardization of services in 12 ports it manages, spread across the islands of Sumatra, Java, and Kalimantan. The digitalization that has been implemented includes:

Single Truck Identification Data (STID)

STID was first implemented in Pelindo Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, becoming a single identity for each truck, with an electronic-based system connected to the port management IT system.

STID contains a database covering the technical feasibility of the truck and its driver, including data on police numbers and the owner/transportation company. Previously, cargo trucks at the port were not uniform because each terminal manager issued its own TID, so they could not be used at different terminals.

This STID is made in the form of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) or an electronic card that has a dual function, namely the function of providing information on the identity and condition of the truck as well as a means of payment transactions at the port.

PHINNISI

Phinnisi is an end-to-end ship service operating system platform, which is one of the pillars in realizing the National Logistics Ecosystem (NLE) goals. With a centralized and integrated network, Phinnisi simultaneously transforms the ship service business process at the port as a whole.

Through integrated features from Order Management to Billing and Reporting, Phinnisi creates new efficiencies with the support of Order-To-Cash and Record-To-Report cycles in one Platform. This is in line with the government's strategy in port transformation efforts and optimization of state revenues.

This system functions to provide real-time information access about ship schedules, terminal availability, cargo status, and others to various parties involved in port operations.
