Meanwhile, passenger traffic showed an increase of 12.86% in Semester I of 2024 with a total of 642 thousand passengers compared to the first quarter of 2023 which amounted to 569 thousand passengers. The increase in passenger traffic was due to the increase in cruise ships docking at Tanjung Priok Regional Port 2, which serves international tourist routes, said Drajat
Drajat added that the increase in operational performance was partly the result of digitalization of Pelindo's logistics management system which is integrated with stakeholders and service users, so that it can optimize the loading and unloading process and reduce port stays or ship berthing time at the port.
For Pelindo Regional 2, efforts to shorten the port stay of ships at the port will have an impact on increasing effectiveness and efficiency in operational services and this will also provide benefits to customers to get even greater business opportunities," concluded Drajat.
