
KUALA LUMPUR - MALAYSIA (ISL News) – The Indonesian Container Depot Association (ASDEKI) and Mutiara Perlis SDN BHD (MPSB), a company established under Malaysian law, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) today, Wednesday, July 17, 2024, in Kaula Lumpur, Malaysia.
The MOC is intended to record the mutual understanding between the parties and to assess and evaluate the feasibility and opportunities between MPSB and ASDEKI. The Parties shall cooperate with each other in good faith and shall fully perform their obligations for the effectiveness of this MOC including towards its affiliates.
According The Chairman ASDEKI, Khairul Mahalli, the scope of this MOC is to jointly carry out work, corporations, feasibility studies or similar forms of development and assessment in order to evaluate the feasibility and potential for developing the Transportation Sector in the fields of investment, finance, commerce, law and other matters related to the Ministry of Transportation.
"The scope of cooperation also includes or is not limited to things such as 1. Sharing learning, knowledge and experience 2. Joint marketing and promotion efforts 3. Preparing proposals for the development of new transportation routes from Sumatra to Malaysia, Thailand, China, & the Greater Mekong Sub-Region. 4. Short-term personnel exchanges to deepen mutual understanding 5. Other areas of cooperation mutually agreed upon by both parties," explained Khairul Mahalli.
It was added that this MOC is valid from the effective date and is valid for 5 (five) years. "The term of this MOC can be extended for an additional period with written agreement between the Parties, subject to the terms and conditions stated in the Clause agreed by both parties," he added.
