SURABAYA (ISL News) - Commemorating National Occupational Safety and Health (K3) Month in 2024, PT Pelindo Terminal Petikemas collaborated with Stevedoring and Unloading Workers in an activity entitled "Ngobras TKBM" Casual Chatting TKBM Sharing Knowledge CoP (Community of Practice) related to K3 culture in container terminal .
Corporate Secretary Widyaswendra said this program involved at least 850 TKBM in 35 terminals throughout SPTP Group work units. According to him, this activity is important to increase awareness of K3 culture through various experiences between participants.
"This activity is an interactive educational effort from the company to equip workers who work at ports, where participants can share their experiences regarding the implementation of K3 culture in their daily lives, so that the output that is formed is a long-term commitment to be disciplined in implementing K3 culture.
Apart from that, this activity is part of the safety transformation to realize safe and more effective container terminal operational activities. This activity will take place from 1-16 February 2024
According to Widyaswendra, holding this forum allows participants to convey suggestions and input to Pelindo management regarding issues and potential dangers at the terminal.
The Ngobras activity was well received by TKBM from several units that had implemented it, including Samsul, TKBM TPK Ambon who expressed their thanks to Pelindo for holding this program. After taking part in Ngobras, participants know more about safe working methods, how to use PPE correctly, and what safe behavior at work they should do. He hopes that SPTP can hold this activity regularly.
