BANDAR LAMPUNG (ISL News) – PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang continues to strengthen its commitment to realizing good corporate governance (GCG) and legal certainty through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement on Handling Legal Issues in the Civil and State Administrative Fields between Pelabuhan Regional 2 Panjang and the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office (Kejaksaan Tinggi/KEJATI Lampung).
The signing was carried out by General Manager Hardianto, along with the ranks of the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office represented by the Deputy Head of the Lampung High Prosecutor's Office, Tjakra Suyana Eka Putra, SH, MH.
Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang General Manager, Hardianto, stated that the collaboration with the Attorney General's Office is a strategic step to strengthen the legal foundation for the company's operational and management activities. "This collaboration is an important part of strengthening good corporate governance, while also increasing legal understanding and awareness for all Pelindo employees. By synergizing with the Attorney General's Office, we hope that every task and business decision-making process can be carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, while still prioritizing the principles of transparency, accountability, and integrity," Hardianto said.
The signing of the cooperation agreement was also carried out by the President Director of Pelindo, Achmad Muchtasyar, together with the Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia, Prof. (HC) Dr. R. Narendra Jatna, SH, LL.M and can be witnessed online.
This activity is part of the Cooperation Agreement Signing Agenda between Pelindo and Jamdatun and between Regional Port Branch 2 and the High Prosecutor's Office in Regional Area 2. The ports participating in this signing are Tanjung Priok Port Branch, Banten Port Branch, Teluk Bayur Port Branch and Panjang Port Branch.
This collaboration is part of an effort to strengthen the synergy between Pelindo and the Indonesian Attorney General's Office in supporting the handling of legal issues in the civil and state administrative fields in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.
This collaboration is expected to strengthen institutional coordination and synergy, particularly in addressing potential legal issues related to business activities and port operations. Through legal support and assistance within the authority of the Attorney General's Office, Pelindo is committed to ensuring that every business process prioritizes the principles of prudence, regulatory compliance, and accountability.
The series of activities then concluded with a Sharing Session which served as a forum for discussion and exchange of knowledge related to aspects of civil law and state administration, including efforts to increase understanding of legal risks in carrying out company duties and functions.
Hardianto added that as a state-owned port company, Pelindo has a responsibility to conduct its business activities professionally, comply with regulations, and maintain stakeholder trust. "Therefore, strengthening legal aspects is a crucial element in supporting business sustainability and improving the quality of port services," he concluded.
