JAKARTA (ISL News) - IPC Terminal Petikemas (IPC TPK) is further strengthening its position as a global benchmarking center through its Integrated Planning & Control facility. The excellence of this centralized port operations system has attracted international attention, evidenced by the welcoming of a strategic visit from the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and PT PBM Dharma Lautan Nusantara, which brought delegations from two giant Japanese logistics companies, namely Daiichi Chuo Kinkai Kaisha and Suzuyo & Co., Ltd. The visit to Tanjung Priok Terminal highlighted how IPC TPK's digital innovation is able to meet world-class operational governance and sustainability standards.

"This visit is concrete evidence that the digital transformation and centralized planning we implemented have not only successfully boosted operational productivity but also addressed the challenges of today's global logistics industry," said Daniel Setiawan, Senior Manager of the Corporate Secretariat at IPC TPK.

IPC TPK's concrete commitment to aligning port operational efficiency with global environmental sustainability principles was a key highlight of this agenda. During the visit, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) delegation focused on exploring collaboration opportunities related to the implementation of the Blue Solutions Project in Indonesia. This sustainable project has an ultimate goal that aligns with the port's future vision, namely "Reducing Maritime Transport Emissions." Through its Integrated Planning & Control facility, IPC TPK was able to demonstrate how optimizing berthing and loading/unloading planning in real time can reduce vessel idle time, which directly contributes to fuel efficiency and reduced exhaust emissions in the port area.

Meanwhile, the presence of PT PBM Dharma Lautan Nusantara along with delegates from Daiichi Chuo Kinkai Kaisha and Suzuyo & Co., Ltd. aimed to directly observe the smooth operation of Tanjung Priok Terminal. From the Integrated Planning & Control control center, the Japanese delegates were able to monitor the transparency, accuracy, and reliability of the IPC TPK service system. This comprehensive field review is an important first step for the logistics company to explore future business cooperation opportunities, in order to strengthen the logistics supply chain between Indonesia and Japan.

"Through this cross-country and cross-organizational collaboration, we hope the Integrated Planning & Control (IPC) TPK system can continue to provide added value to the creation of a greener, more efficient, and more modern maritime ecosystem," Daniel concluded.
