JAKARTA (ISL News) – IPC Container Terminal (IPC TPK) successfully recorded a positive trend in operational performance at the close of the third quarter of 2026. Throughout the period of January to September 2026, IPC TPK's container loading and unloading flow (throughput) reached 2,836,445 TEUs, experiencing a growth surge of 8.2% year-on-year (YoY) compared to the same period in 2025 which was recorded at 2,621,101 TEUs.
"The positive growth at the end of the third quarter is clear evidence of IPC TPK's commitment to providing optimal and efficient loading and unloading services. This upward trend in freight flow not only reflects the company's strengthening internal performance but also indicates the continued movement of the national economy and trade activities," said Daniel Setiawan, Senior Manager of the IPC TPK Corporate Secretariat.
This consistent positive trend was also strongly reflected in the monthly performance record at the end of the third quarter. In September 2026, total container throughput across all terminals managed by IPC TPK reached 325,884 TEUs. This represents a solid 7% year-on-year increase compared to the 304,358 TEUs recorded in September of last year.
The increase in container loading and unloading volume in September 2026 was driven by a significant surge in productivity at several key terminals. The Teluk Bayur Terminal's loading and unloading performance was the most prominent, recording the highest growth rate of 19.2% (YoY). Following closely behind, Tanjung Priok Terminal, the main logistics gateway, recorded 9% growth, and Pontianak Terminal also recorded a 5.1% increase compared to the same period the previous year.
"Our greatest hope is that this surge in productivity will not just be a numerical achievement for the IPC TPK, but will truly drive supply chain efficiency, reduce logistics costs, and contribute directly to accelerating national economic growth," Daniel concluded.
