PALEMBANG
(ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Palembang received a
comparative study visit from Commission II of the Jambi Province Regional
People's Representative Council (DPRD) in order to obtain information and
insight regarding port development strategies and logistics connectivity in
supporting increased regional competitiveness.
The
activity, which was held in the Musi Meeting Room of the Pelindo Regional 2
Palembang Office, became a momentum to exchange information and experiences
regarding the role and development of the port sector in supporting logistics
activities and the regional economy.
The
comparative study visit raised the theme "Port Development Strategy for
Logistics Connectivity to Support Regional Competitiveness." The
discussion focused on how port infrastructure and services can be aligned with
logistics connectivity needs and support regional economic growth.
On the
occasion, the General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang, Darmawi, in his
remarks said, "We welcome the visit of Commission II of the Jambi
Provincial DPRD to Pelindo Regional 2 Palembang. This activity provides an
opportunity to share insights and experiences, particularly regarding port
development and strengthening logistics connectivity. We hope this exchange of
information can be beneficial in supporting connectivity development and
increasing regional competitiveness," said Darmawi.
Through
this activity, it is hoped that an exchange of information will be established
that can provide an overview of port management, strengthening logistics
connectivity, and the potential for developing a port ecosystem that can
contribute to increasing regional competitiveness.
