BANDAR LAMPUNG (ISL News) - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang continues to strengthen the awareness and understanding of company personnel regarding the threat of cyber attacks through the Cyber Attack Danger Awareness activity in the Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang work environment. This activity is part of an effort to increase awareness of digital security risks that have the potential to disrupt information systems, data protection, and the continuity of company operations. The activity presented Iptu Donal Afriansyah, SH, MH, as Head of Unit 2 Subdit V Ditreskrimsus Polda Lampung as a resource person.
The event was led by the General Manager of Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang, represented by the Business Compliance Manager, Weriyanto Febriyadi. In his remarks, Weriyanto Febriyadi emphasized the importance of building collective awareness of potential cyber threats, which are growing along with the increasing use of digital technology in corporate activities.
"Cybersecurity awareness must be part of a company's work culture and requires the active participation of all employees. Every individual has a crucial role to play in preventing potential data leaks and cyberattacks, from maintaining account confidentiality, being wary of suspicious messages or links, to ensuring that company information is used and disseminated in accordance with applicable regulations," said Weriyanto.
In the material presentation session, First Inspector Donal Afriansyah explained various forms of cyber threats that can occur in the work environment, including phishing, data theft, access abuse, the spread of malicious software (malware), and various digital crime modes that exploit user negligence.
"In the port context, cybersecurity plays a strategic role because the use of information technology is increasingly integrated in supporting business processes and port services. Disruptions to digital systems not only pose a risk to company data but can also affect the smoothness of operational processes and the quality of service to service users. Therefore, increasing cybersecurity literacy is a crucial step in building a more resilient work environment against various digital threats while supporting the implementation of good corporate governance," said First Inspector Donal Afriansyah.
The event continued with a question-and-answer session, giving participants the opportunity to discuss various potential cyber threats and mitigation measures that can be implemented in daily work activities directly with the speakers. The event concluded with a group photo session.
Through this activity, Pelindo Regional 2 Panjang reaffirmed its commitment to continuously strengthening a culture of information security awareness within the company. These efforts are expected to increase the vigilance of all company personnel in the face of evolving cyber threats, while also supporting Pelindo's secure, reliable, and sustainable digital transformation.
