JAKARTA (ISL News) - PT Indonesia Kendaraan Terminal Tbk (IDX:IPCC) demonstrated its humanitarian commitment to Indonesia by supporting the Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) in delivering humanitarian (Bantuan) to communities affected by the earthquake in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, by providing terminal facilities and operational services at the IPCC Jakarta Domestic Branch Terminal. A total of 33,947 items of logistical aid were dispatched by PMI via sea from Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta, to Labuan Bajo Port, NTT.
The aid (Bantuan) was sent to support the basic needs of earthquake-affected communities, particularly during evacuations and the emergency response period. Also present at the event were HM Jusuf Kalla, Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Bagus Dwipoyono, Director of Operations and Engineering, and Acting President Director of the IPCC, along with other stakeholders.
During the activity, the IPCC provided support in the dock area and operational services for loading humanitarian aid onto the ship. The entire process was carried out while prioritizing safety, security, order, and smooth operations, in accordance with procedures at the IPCC terminal. HM Jusuf Kalla directly observed the loading of PMI logistical aid onto the ship at Tanjung Priok Port before its departure for Labuan Bajo.
The aid dispatched by the Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) covers various needs of the affected communities, including clothing, prayer equipment, emergency shelter, lighting, household supplies, and vulnerable groups.
The aid will then be distributed in stages to support earthquake-affected communities in seven districts in Flores: West Manggarai, East Manggarai, Manggarai, Nagekeo, Ende, Sikka, and Ngada, based on assessment results and the needs and priorities of the communities in each region.
The ship, which departed from the IPCC Domestic Terminal, also carried various logistical aid from several other agencies supporting the humanitarian response to the Flores earthquake. This collaboration reflects the synergy between humanitarian agencies, port industry players, and various stakeholders in accelerating aid distribution to disaster-affected communities.
Jusuf Kalla stated that speed and accuracy in aid distribution are crucial in disaster management, while also expressing his appreciation for the community, partners, and various institutions that have jointly supported humanitarian aid for those affected by the Flores earthquake. "I would like to express my gratitude to the community, partners, and various institutions that have jointly supported this humanitarian aid. Disaster management cannot be done alone. Collaboration is essential for aid to be collected, delivered, and reached the people in need," said Jusuf Kalla.
Bagus Dwipoyono stated that the IPCC's support for the activity is part of the company's commitment to open up collaboration and utilize its port capabilities and facilities to support humanitarian missions.

Through our dock facilities and operational support services, the IPCC strives to ensure the aid loading process takes place safely, orderly, and smoothly so that aid can be immediately dispatched to the communities in need," said Bagus.
