SURABAYA (ISl News) - PT Terminal Teluk Lamong (TTL) held a series of activities to commemorate the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia on August 10-19, 2026. Various competitions were held involving employees, interns, and service users as part of an effort to build togetherness and the spirit of independence within the TTL Group.
A number of sports competitions, games, and competitions that test the knowledge and creativity of participants, including badminton, table tennis, futsal, quiz, mobile legend e-sports, cooking competitions, and triathlons.
One activity that garnered enthusiastic participation was the Kahoot! Quiz Competition, which was held online by employees and interns using their own devices, with a total of 140 participants. The competition consisted of 120 questions covering general knowledge and port knowledge, with the winner determined by the highest score.
Additionally, a cooking competition was held, featuring teams from various directorates and terminals within the TTL Group. To maintain objectivity, the competition involved professional judges from the Surabaya Hotel School (SHS). Mobile Legends esports competitions and tennis games using Nintendo consoles provided diverse entertainment options for participants of various age groups and work units.
In the sports category, there are futsal, table tennis, and badminton competitions, bringing together teams from various work units. Specifically for badminton, the number of participants has been expanded to include service users, including PT. Meratus Line and PT. Tanto Intim Line, as well as other partners. This ensures that the event serves not only as an internal gathering but also as a means to strengthen relationships between the company and its customers and business partners.
The various competition formats show that the commemoration of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence at PT Terminal Teluk Lamong is not only directed at competitions to find winners, but also becomes a momentum to build interactions, strengthen a sense of togetherness, and foster a positive spirit among employees and service users who participate.
The series of activities culminated in a "People's Party" held in the TTL area. During the event, all employees gathered to enjoy a performance by TTL's in-house band and a variety of culinary delights provided by the surrounding community (Ring 1) of TTL.
"The involvement of MSMEs in the Ring 1 community in providing culinary delights is part of an effort to bring benefits to the community and businesses around the company's operational area, while also providing an opportunity for employees to enjoy local products in an atmosphere of independence celebration," added Herry.
Closing the entire series of activities, Senior Manager of Human Resources and General Affairs of PT Terminal Teluk Lamong, Herry Subagiyo, expressed his appreciation to all employees, participants, committee members, service users, and other parties who had participated so that all activities could run smoothly.
